A little outdated as it was posted on Monday, but here we are...

Sheffield United skipper Chris Morgan saw the Blades have a rollercoaster ride on and off the field last week. Amid the publicity of their arbitration success over West Ham in the Carlos Tevez affair, United suffered a last minute defeat at Norwich before being decisively beaten 6-0 by Arsenal's young bucks in the Carling Cup. But on Saturday, Morgan’s side rediscovered their Championship form with victory over Watford, the Blades' first win in a month. It saw James Beattie grab his first goal of the season after Gary Speed had scored in the opening minute, both goals made by Billy Sharp. Whilst Speed and Beattie providing the experience, 19-year-old right-back Kyle Naughton had an outstanding debut for the club and Morgan was happy to taste that winning feeling once more.

Givemefootball's Ian Clarkson spoke to Morgan as the Blades' promotion campaign got back on track.

IS IT A RELIEF TO GET THE RIGHT RESULT AGAIN?

It's always nice, we knew there wasn't a lot wrong here, bits and pieces weren't going for us. We worked hard in training, particularly after the Arsenal game, we knew we had to get going and believe in ourselves again. We proved that against Watford.

YOU GOT TOGETHER FOR A MEETING AFTER THE DEFEAT BY ARSENAL TO SEE WHERE YOU WERE GOING FROM THERE?

We all just sat down together and just bounced things off each other after Tuesday's game. Then we went back to the training ground and got back to work. We weren't happy and especially when you lose a game 6-0. When Watford equalised it would have been easy to for the lads to think 'here we go again' but there was none of that and we responded positively.

HOW IMPRESSED WERE YOU WITH KYLE NAUGHTON'S DEBUT?

He's done really well, he's been training with us since pre-season and the gaffer's seen something in him. It's always good when players like that come through as it proves the youth system is working. He showed a lot of maturity against Watford in the positions he took up, I said to him before the game that he should just try and enjoy it. It's easy to say that but we didn't want him feeling nervous. I told him after the game that he's got to go on from that now and improve. There'll be no-one to touch him if he does that. We're pushing each other, but in the right way.

AFTER PLAYING AGAINST ARSENAL'S YOUNGSTERS THIS WEEK, IS IT GOOD FOR THE CLUB TO PRODUCE A POSSIBLE STAR OF THEIR OWN?

Of course, he didn't look out of place when he came on against Arsenal either. There's a lot made about age, but if you're good enough, that doesn't matter. Kyle proved that against Watford.

KEVIN BLACKWELL SAID BEFORE THE GAME HE DIDN'T WANT PLAYERS FEELING SORRY FOR THEMSELVES AFTER THE ARSENAL MATCH. IS THAT WHAT HE SAID TO YOU?

Yes, and this was the best way to hit back with a win. We reacted positively; we all want to achieve something this season. We were back to our old selves.

THERE WAS SOME TALK OF PLAYERS MAKING THEIR OWN INDIVIDUAL COMPENSATION CLAIMS IN THE WAKE OF THE CARLOS TEVEZ AFFAIR THIS WEEK, IS THAT TRUE?

I have no idea where this came from, there was no players' meeting that I was aware of although we did get together to talk about the Arsenal result. This week we've been thinking about the Watford game.
