House of Elliot on W.

He's a weird one. Called us the best team in the league after we beat them at home when they played well. Says it was close today when there was a big gap between the sides

I noticed how their fans seem to be turning on him now.

I’ve always rated him as a manager, so I thought they’d be more comfortable than where they are.

He also said "For me not to pat Sheffield United on the back would be remiss of me because they're excellent. They carry such a strong threat and in the forward areas they are such a strong team and good luck to Chris and the rest of them, we wish them luck in their push for promotion".

The bloke is saying owt to hang on to his job.

He’s not gonna say “we are shit after a decent start to the season, conference is shot and I’m running out of ideas, can’t believe I left Portsmouth for this”

They’re mates so there’s mutual respect between them. He has to deal with his own media and job.

THB Chris said they had the best chances in the match ,and it was closer then the score line , so I don't think he's been bitter .

He does seem to genuinely like us for some reason. I know he’s mates with Wilder, so they were always going to be complimentary about each other, but Cooks always spoken highly of us since before Wilder was here. If we make the play offs I fully expect to see him in the away end in the semi final alongside Harry Maguire, Kyle Walker and Jags.

I think he’s a top bloke tbh. Liked him at Chesterfield. He’s like Wilder. Calls it straight and gets the most out of what he’s got to work with. He had Morsy and Clucas and Doyle in that Chesterfield team. They caved in when he left. That was the start of it. He’s a smart guy and genuine too.

I think he’s put a positive spin on the game today overall, but they should have gone in 1-1 at half time tbf. Evans miss would have embarrassed McGoldrick!

It was a tedious first half. Scrappy. But United looked the more capable and in control. Second half we destroyed them clinically in a few minutes and after that there was no way back
