In a month boro could lose three and The Blades could win three. that could put boro back to square one.
It's not an unreasonable comment.

Boro have lost 10 out of 33. We've only lost 7 from 32.

They're due a bit of bad form.

Works out at about 4 losses for them. If that happened then if they won the rest they'd be at 84 points. So question is then just can be make another 23 points from 14 matches? 7 wins, 2 draws and 5 defeats. That doesn't sound that insurmountable. Just got to get the home form going once more to take care of most of that.

in a couple of weeks if it carrys on they may well be, club is a joke
That's the spirit.
Boro would still rather be in it...just saying
They would and they might end up being too.

Thing is it feels bad because we had a bigger gap. If we had never had a bigger gap then to be 4 PTS clear with a game in hand is not bad.

yes weve thrown away a big lead but things could change quickly with boro at west brom and us at home to watford could be back up to 7 points with a game in hand come 5pm saturday law of averages says boro cant just carry on winning every game

I think it’s easy to boil things down to throwing away a lead.

They won a tight game in which we had more shots on target and two of their goals had a huge slice of luck. We failed to take our early chances.

They then won a game against a team in awful form at home as we went away to one of the teams away with the best home records and lost by one goal in five.

It will be a bit topsyturvy.

This weekend we are playing a decent team again but at home where we have done well overall. They head to a team with arguably better individuals than them, smarting from a loss by one goal in five.

Boro miles better than us on the night pressed us into errors that’s nowt to do with luck it was tight for 30 minutes

Boro must have loved watching them Watford goals last night.

They weren’t miles better. They looked fairly ordinary but had a striker who was outstanding on the night.
We were poor, but I didn’t think there was much between the sides other than their striker

Their midfield turned up for more than 10 minutes as well. That was a big factor.

It depends how you are defining luck.

Not denying they played well on the night by the way. I’m not in total denial.

It’s was fortune in that it was completely out of their hands that Norwood’s tackle fell straight to their forward. Or bad play. But it wasn’t something of their making.

It’s also good fortune that the ref managed to play a supposed advantage that less than 10 seconds later ended up in our net. Not sure what advantage getting the ball to a player who is surrounded is.

They were also fortunate Ndiaye is not doing it in front of goal because they afforded him chances that could and possibly should have seen them 3 goals to the bad. They still coughed up those chances.

They’ll take it.

But I’d say out of 10 games, with the chances we created vs the chances they created, we’d win on more occasions. The xG was 2.52 vs 1.29. Outside of the goals they only got 2 shots on target.
