I have decided , unilaterally , to wake up and start to be positive and optimistic

So we have an ex owl in the managers post
Weve had pigs before and managed to house train them

So we have only got a chairman , (he says hes no longer chairman , but he is) whos decided 2 years ago he wanted out but cant find anyone to put money in , nothing new there,

We go into a season with little money a squad still with long term injuries , bereft of players and a lot of trust in the kids

But hey ho
we still have BDTBL
WE STILL HAVE FANS

when we were last relegated to div 3 in 1988, we like last year finished 21st and had only had an average home gate of 10800
we had 2 quick promotions , and no one saw that coming

so as of today , 1st day of a new month
despite all the negatives

I can't see 2 quick promotions on the cards for us. Unlike Leeds or Norwich we don't have a young dynamic up and coming talented manager. We have a washed up old has been. Relegation fodder this season, sorry to piss on your chips pal

Call me pessimistic, but I think we are more likely to be struggling at the other end of the table rather than talking promotion.

The clue is in what McCabe keeps saying regards how we may not go up next season, but as long as we're playing nice football that's ok

He obviously knows what constraints piggy Wilson is under and that's why he's saying it!


And I quote:

That's not what I've come to expect from McCabe and most will interpret what he says differently, so read into that what you want, but to me, it reads a lot like someone who's resigned to staying put for some time!

your not focusing right if you cant see the bigger picture

lets face it , well be actually playing teams in worse health than us
we arent the only club who dislike a lot of what goes on

wednesday went down nearly in admin and got to 2nd by xmas
then after becoming "stable" money wise went down hill

so logic doesnt enter into it

teams like rochdale , lost their manager now selling key players
huddersfield unbeaten in 2011 till last Sunday and now ended up still here

we arent alone in the misery stakes

weve got what weve got and lets put on a brave front, stop pandering to those ignorant S6 ers

Yes I have been trying to drag myself in to the land of the positive mental attitude after all that has happened these last few months.

And then I learn that DW's first signing is likely to be JP McGovern !

About as uplifting a signing as JP McCoy

I'm generally optimistic but I don't think we can have any idea about what our expectations are / should be until all the inevitable comings and goings take place.

I think , when players are fit we have enough to beat half of division one outfits without breaking sweat

we have to do what peterboro did , put all the crap behind us and start again
they like us lost a lot at home and by the odd goal, and surprisingly went down scoring only as many as we did , but somehow scored over 100 this season

if we go in defeatist , thats what you end up with

none of us will remember 2010 /11 with affection , lets see if we can help ourselves forget it
