suffering as a blade for 50 years my life enters a new chapter this saturday as I jump in the car for the 3 day drive down to my house in Spain , for good this time, , becoming an Elche fan as they are my local team, but will like all ex pat blades be listening to our efforts via the digital radio or watching when we are on the dodgy box .

The banter though is irreplaceable , pre match aperitifs and post match sorrow drowners shall figure no more and the economy around London Road will plummet by 2%

But will try and maintain some of the ritual partaking of a can from my local beach bar fridge whilst listening to the radio

I'll be in Alicante for one or two nights in October before going to Benidorm. My mum is seriously considering getting a flat out there. Cheap to live and a decent standard of living too - and Alicante airport has excellent connections.

I'm usually in the Alicante area at least two or three times a year.
Mate has an apartment in Santa Pola close to Alicante airport and another lives practically next door to the strip club at Cabo Roig they're both Blades as well.
It makes for a nice long weekend trip a couple of times a year.
