Same reason as I sit at home ready to go out until just before I have to catch the bus, then start rushing in case I miss it. People are pricks.

90% happy with our incomings. There's always one or two that get away for whatever reason, but a really solid set of incumbents that should improve our quality threshold. The lad from Everton should prove interesting, and one I want to see is Freeman, as so far he's not appeared in most people's list of approvals. Luke was always intended as the midfield creative, not so much Duffy mk2, but a different type that I hope has guile to spare. Otherwise, we're spoilt for attacking talent, now it's Wilder's responsibility to find selection who'll contribute the most goals. Safe to say that Robinson is a shoe-in so far, and where Ravel fits in is intrguing. If RM's inclusion pays off we've got a great talent on board!

From snippets of other posts and interviews, I am not ITK, but I believe there has been interest - but the player hasn’t taken the move. Possibly reduces income? Maybe Clarke is one of those that Wilder referred to in an interview where he said some players need to make a football decision - after he’d looked after them.
