Two wins in the next two and we are on our way. The impetus would be stunning.
We can do this.

Not this again....according to a thread the other week the last 3 games were season defining ha ha
It seems every game is season defining.

Do know what you mean though.
Anyone top of the league is in the shop window, there to be shot at. Can we handle the added expectation and pressure?
Would take a draw next week, then a win against t’Pigs then a win away at Rotherham and that’s what I predict will happen.

Not for me. There aren't going to be "season defining" games if we aspire to be up at the top. We just need to roll along steadily collecting 1.5 to 2 points per game. Putting loads of baggage on one or two matches just increases the chance of a meltdown on here, frankly.

Forest away is a really hard game. A point would be a great result; a defeat will be far from the end of the world.

November last season was a season defining month (look at what happened before and after) and i think this November could be the same.

The lone voice of those who should know better ;)

And what if we were to draw or lose the two games after?
Fantasising about the "what ifs" isn't in itself wrong, but shouldn't we follow our manager's approach and take this one game at a time, much as we did in Division 1?

But each to their own, best to leave you to your fantasies while most other Blades adopt a more pragmatic approach and look forward to the next game.

I'm looking more towards Christmas.

If we're still right up there after all the games we have up to that point, then it could well be on.

Most other Blades?

I think you'll find most other Blades would be totally on point that we are the real deal if we get 6 points from the next 2 games.
But you wouldn't agree under any circs .

One game at a time , win that one move on
We lose one or two , the cretins crawl out , saying were this that and the other , Sir Chris doesn’t know what he’s doing etc etc
Id take 7 points from next 3 games but I’ll be happy cause I love the football were playing

And then the post that follows yours says one game at a time, but I guess dublin 10 blade and most other Blades are an exception to your peculiarly naive optimism. Of course we all want the Blades to do well, but hasn't the last decade (even longer) taught you anything at all?

I'm happy to agree, but you must make it possible to do so, do you think you can do that Bill?

We need to win, or get 4 points to remain in the top 2.

If we then want to remain there after these 2 games then we are going to need to carry on winning to stay there, so not season defining really.

It’s still too early to say. No point getting carried away. We are good enough to get 9 points from next 3 games but..........One game at a time.

I'd snatch your hand off for seven points from our next three games, just as long as three of them come against that shower

This is the truth, looking at the league table and I would say all the way down to Villa in 17th still have a chance of making the top 6 by the end of the season. As the Wednesday fans said it's quite a different league now, everybody has multi-million pound signings and are capable of performing on their day, we just have to make sure we perform better (or just take the points anyway!)

:D I think this season will be game defining! Am I ok to have that one?

I don't know the rules around here but I think we'll have to wait for the invoice to be paid in full before the end of the week so I'll have to wait til next month for the next 25 weeks to come back again and again in the next I will pay the full deposit.

I am sure Fulham fans never thought last October they would go up automatically.

There's a very long way to go.

Continue to do the things we are doing well, rectify the areas we are not doing so well and we'll be OK.

Take each game as it comes, see where we are with 10 games to go
Then it will get very interesting if we are still near the top, going into the end of the season

Fulham didn’t go up automatically, they reached the play-offs beating Villa in the final.
And their fans were fairly confident they’d have a good season even when they were in the bottom half.
They were generally playing well, creating many chances but not scoring and drawing too many matches.

Agree though that’s it’s early but we’re comsistently playing decent to very well. In some ways the Wigan game on Saturday is the least convincing we’ve been since the Swansea and Boro marches at the start of the season.
