assuming MA walks or is sacked, who do you think we should approach for the job, bearing in mind he will inherit a shit or half a shit team with no morale,an owner who dont give a fuck and no money to spend

I think before a new manager is appointed, the guy who picks him should be sorted .......

how many times? ;)

PEMBERTON, look what he has done with the U18's in one season, let him bring them through and mix them in with what we have left and have a go
gotta be better than what we have now.

If Pemberton was to be given the managers job, who carries on what he has started with the kids? I think if he's happy with his current role, he should carry on and we should bring in a first team manager that will bring a style that fits with the academy. Pemberton carries on with the academy and have some input into the first team.

with pembo at the top of the ladder he can have hi style though the full club at the minute we have an outstanding bunch of youngsters who wouldn't fit in to Adams style of play League 1 is a fresh start rip up the "BLADES WAY" what was it McCabe said when we went up to the premiership ? ? 5 years and europe ? ? well its five years next week and the Johnsons paint trophy isn't europe round 1 of the fa cup isn't europe so the "BLADES WAY" doesn't work.

The youth is the future of this club lets get pembo at the top of the ladder and have it from the U9's right up to the 1st team same style

let see this as a new start lets clear the deadwood out and rise like we did in the 80's and early 90's UTB BLADE4LIFE

Pemberton would be a lousy shout.

He would appear to be an absolutely brilliant coach for the youth teams. Doing a fucking great job.

Why the hell would we rip him out of that and stick him in an office with a phone so he can spend all his time talking to agents and overseeing all team and club affairs? I could understand making him chief coach or somesuch but manager? A completely different job entirely. As Speed found out to his cost.

I can't see MA walking, or being sacked for that matter... unless anyone has inside info?

Adams is a fucking cock socket. Man up, own up and resign, taking your freeloading old school mates with you.

Bring in, because next year our budgets will be less than what Superblade spends on fake tan, the bloke who has for the last 10 seasons improved Accy Stanleys position every year.

Absolutely agree with that. Thinking Pembo could just step up to be the manager is like some people who think the kids he coaches could 'do a job' in the first team. Whole new ball game and all that.

When Smegson was struggling before getting a couple of wins, I thought he'd be sacked and got to thinking who I wouldn't like to replace him at the pigs. Di Matteo was one. Chris Hughton was the other.

Probably wishful thinking that we'd get either, but why not? They'll certainly be snapped up when the latest managerial blood-letting begins so, for once, let's get in first. Sack Adams now (with absolutely no chance of hindsight which followed Blackwell and Speed - his record is unbelievable.)

Adams will be going no-where. He's a lower-league manager, we're a lower league club, (in a couple of weeks anyway!).

The squad will be built around a "spine" of Simmo, Coillins, Doyle and Cresswell. Get used to it, shit times ahead.

Don't think it will make much difference who is manager. Why not let the players pick themselves? (bit like the 5-a-side togger games we used to play at school dinnertime) ;)

Steve Coppell would work very well with JP.

But asking for Coppell is like asking for Mourinho, Frankie out of The Saturdays or the moon on a stick. You're never going to get any of them. Mourinho won't come back to England unless it's to Man Utd, Frankie out of The Saturdays is quite happy as a saucy pop strumpet, and Coppell is a bottler who won't move north of Watford.

You're probably right, but if we leave him as youth team coach, some other team will surely come and poach him from us. Maybe first team coach would be a suitable role - but would his ideas clash with Micky's?

The club needs sorting at the top before we consider paying off another manager and labelling the next man as another "cheap option".

UTB

A lot of this mess is because we continually change our manager, so for me stability is key, not replacing the manager!

Micky has a contract let's get everyone to honour it.

One thing from yesterday - we got the blend right mostly. But were let down by so called experienced players.

Pemberton for me. Let him choose his successor at academy level so that he maintains a close relationship with the academy. He'll be far more likely to give the youngsters their chance at first team level and has a decent pedigree as a player.

This is all hypothetical as MA is not going to be sacked anytime soon IMO. If he walks, give it to Pembo. People can bang on about the SOD's and Di Matteo's of this world all they want.....neither of them are qualified to manage a club in our situation (e.g. in massive decline with no money and huge expectations). Admittedly neither is Pembo but he seems a far more logical choice in our predicament.....when we will be far more reliant on youth in the coming years.

Should he leave then I don't know who would be best for us.

Whoever is in charge needs a better support structure around them than Trevor Birch can give. A scouting system that knows about players that are available for more than loans. Then a fitness regime that can actually provide a powerful performance from every player for 95mins of every match.

We as fans deserve a team who shows pride and passion with at least some kind of game plan and style. Style that may not be to everybodies taste at first, but does the best it can. The current crop aren't capable and it's going to take an impressive pre-season and turnover of players to achieve anything close.

I'm going to say stick with him.

We are going down, make no bones about that, but there is a lot of people who have mismanaged us, and it does need stability rather than another change for changes sake.

A drop in a Division might do us some good in the long run, as it will give us chance to blood a lot of the youngsters, and build a squad that can eventually take us back up the leagues. I don't know who the right man for the job is, i don't know if Micky Adams can turn it round, or any other of the names bandied about can, but Micky Adams has got a track record of getting promotions, and knows a bit about the club and the problems it faces, so we might as well stick with what we have got, and if it doesn't work out, then it would be time for another change

For those who would keep Adams, how bad do things have to get next year before you would fire him?

Paul Ince? Just putting it out there. He had a good record at Mk, but I suspect he had more money than he would get with us next year... Appreciate his time at Blackburn (too much, too soon), and County (P29, W10, D13, L6) isn't too great.

I think SoD would rather stay at Donnie next year, Di Matteo won't come down to 3rd tier, with no money. I like the idea of Pembo, but a) who takes the kids on and makes them a success like they have been this year, and b) he's untried at any pro level (you can't count caretaker @ Forest).

ince is no better we have at the moment,as for pemberton, wheres his background as a manager ? he aint got one so we would be in the same position if he was to replace adams
