Oh ffs ! Wake up, I've seen it all, near on 60 years! And this shower of shit as got all the reasons to believe relegation is on the cards!
Yeah, sorry but I don’t put any value in your ability to assess football. This team won’t be relegated and I’m happy to have a nice bet on it if you’re really that confident?

Admire your confidence pal, I really do, pray tell me what it is?

And you’re entitled to yours but we’re just not getting relegated. Thats just daft talk at this stage:
Zero fight, zero leadership, zero physical strength. Zero defensive organisation or structure this season. Clueless midfield tactics, no discernible attacking pattern. Subs lack impact and are too late. Mainly loanees transferred in. Inexperienced manager who has a track record of struggling with teams at the bottom. I would suggest that there is a lot more to evidence/signs to point to a relegation dogfight than the other way around.
He is making several huge mistakes in every game and although I do have some sympathy for him that the squad is very thin in places he could and should be getting a lot more of a tune out of it

There seems to be a lack of cohesion throughout the club which worries me. If it's true, that the consortium was split over Wilder's sacking, then I fear for the next few months. Those that wanted to keep Wilder will now be lacking confidence in those that wanted him gone. That will make any decisions about hiring and firing even harder to make. Couple that with the current shit show on the field and the potential for disaster is, I would say, quite high.

We’re probably averaging less than a shot on target per game. That’s alarming. I’d give him the next 2 to see if there’s any improvement. And if it’s really bad at Middlesbrough, I’d get rid after that. We’re not too good to go down

Bristol and Millwall at home, Swansea away.
Couldn’t have started the season with 3 more bog standard championship fixtures if we tried. All 3 will finish between 9th and 16th.

Save for about 20 mins v Bristol and about 10 mins today, we’ve been abhorrent to watch. If we get anything from the next two then I would be amazed.

If he’s still in the dugout at our next home game then something drastic would’ve had to have happened in performance and results. I can’t see it.

As the other fella said you’re entitled to your opinion but 5 games after deciding to go in an entirely different direction would be the most stupid decision they’ve made yet.
You either stick it out longer or you shouldn’t have made the change.

I said that the season we did get relegated. We were then stuck in league one for six years - it's not a mugs league you have to be on your game to get out of it. I'm extremely concerned we will sleepwalk towards relegation thinking things will improve.

Couldn't agree more mate.

We are currently looking at a serious struggle to stay in this division. We've lost two of our best players and not adequately replaced them.

I thought maybe he'd last until the Charlton home game but now I'm not so sure. I can see another defeat v Boro next week and I with a two week break to Ipswich, that might be the time to pull the trigger. Not sure we have anyone at the club to be a caretaker so it ought to allow a new manager to come in, pull things together, maybe get a draw at Ipswich, beat Charlton, then onwards and upwards. The run of games after Ipswich don't look that difficult.

I'd get rid tonight of course.

Second half showed a little promise.
The left in particular looked like a work in progress but there were some nice patterns and exchanges.
That’s the side with the most settled players that the manager has had time to coach.
The right in comparison was disjointed and struggled but looked better with Brooks but he isn’t going to be a starter.
Central defence is all over the place and Binnion is clearly really struggling next to Robinson. I’ve said several times that he’s here as a starter but I think he’ll be dropped for ‘boro. Peck is also struggling but he’s being asked to play a role he isn’t comfortable in.

With the expected players coming I’m not convinced the manager is a busted flush I genuinely think there are improvements to see and plugging the defence will help confidence to build. Any move to replace the manager with less than 15-20 games is just daft reactionary talk.

Giving Selles 15-20 games seems a wild take to me. 😳

You don’t lose anything. With 30 games left you can still get to the playoffs generally if your players are good enough. Which they will be.

I think it’s a bit of a car crash tactically and his inexperience has already been laid bare.

We actually play a decent side next time around (we’ve played pretty ordinary Champ fodder thus far). Think Boro and Ipswich will storm through us. Not sure there’s much coming back from that.

Perhaps they are finally realising that they shouldn't have made the change? Pretty sure he wouldn't come back anyway - why would he with some of our fans? Time to move on - I said I'd wait until the end of September, but I'm really struggling with that, as a new manager would surely want a say in transfers, and January would be way too late.

As I've said elsewhere, playing Peck in centre mid on his own is just plain fucking stupid.

He tried it v Bristol and we couldnt get any foothold in the game, so his plan is to try it again? And guess what, we get no foot hold or control. Even when Millwall dropped intensity in the last 20 mins, we couldn't dominate midfield.

I don't know what this guy is thinking with that midfield setup???

Bang correct

As likeable as the guy may be, his appointment is baffling. We’re now run by people who not only don’t understand soccer-ball, but they’ve also ripped out all the supporting infrastructure & implanted a manager who is a talking text book. It’s not what our players, our fans or our environment requires. (See the performance, the reaction & the league table). We are a real, honest, passionate, hard-working club, which has punched above its weight through connectivity & harnessing the energy of the support and collective spirit of our players. I have no problem wishing to evolve long term, but you can’t uproot a hardy, gnarly fir tree & re-plant it in Mediterranean soil & and expect it to thrive. It shows arrogance, ignorance & a total lack of respect for the environment in which we operate and the human element of the sport which we practise. It was all so avoidable & is all the more tragic for it. Egotism & ignorance, seem (sadly all too often) to be the American way.

with Tanganga, this team is very good.
Cooper

Tanganga/Seriki, Godfrey/Mee(we'll sign him), Bindon/Robbo, Burrows/McCallum

Peck/blaster Soumare/gus/Davies

Brooks/new winger Gus/Cal Barry

Campbell/One/Cannon

Absolute lack of structure and tactics today.

Notable we only looked decent when OHare, Hamer, Barry decided to freestyle and do their own thing.

First half we looked as bad as any time over the past few years.

Doesn't look great.
They were doing the exact same thing they were told to do from the start according to selles

What leads you to believe they were 'free styling '

Sleepwalked to the drop in 2011 with 4 shit managers sharing the load.
