Player Suggestion Nathaniel Mendez-Laing

He's been excellent this season, 2017 in particular. Every time I see Rochdale's highlights he's prominent, whether scoring or creating.

He used to be 'chunky' but he's lost weight and looks like an absolute flyer now.

He can play on either side, is a good age and is on a free transfer.

It's a no brainer. Confident we'll be interested in him.

The lad is totally transformed from the player we saw at the Lane. Definitely would be pleased if we signed him, and I believe he could have a big impact in the Championship.
 
I do remember him giving the pig fans some shit on Twitter before a derby game. This was after he'd left us, so he obviously had a fondness for us. I'll always like him for this, if nothing else.
 
Feels like the sort of up and coming player we always call on us to go for. Additionally we are not blessed with lots of pace and he certainly brings that.
I'm sure CW will have a clear view of if he fits the bill for what we need.
 
I doubt we were interested in Mendez-Laing otherwise I'd have expected he'd sign for us over Cardiff. There's been no rumours of interest in us signing him and most times this stuff gets out .I'd be more than happy with Mackay-Stevens as a signing instead of Mendez-Laing.
 
Treeton Blade said we were interested in Mendez-Laing and I'll take his word for it. Maybe not our first choice target though.

I would've definitely preferred NML over GMS. Younger, quicker, in form, right footed, permanent transfer.
 
Millwall and Southend United were the other parties interested in the 25-year-old, but Mendez-Laing arrives as wide cover with Craig Noone expected to leave Cardiff City Stadium this summer.

Taken from the Cardiff rag. Not sure if that makes anyone feel better. Its a good signing for Cardiff but I trust that wilder has targets he wants which Mendez-Laing wasn't (seemingly) one of them. On wards.

Doesn't make me feel any better. I'm mad with rage that a player became available and we didn't sign him. We should gerremallin. We should allusgerremallin. Yet another example of missing out on a player we weren't interested in.

Where's the ambition?

Not sure if you're been serious or not Pinchy!? Assuming you are, if Wilder didn't want him then we haven't missed out have we?
 
Nathaniel Mendez-Laing at Cardiff looks a good player and he did quite well in the premier league last season.
Might be worth signing at the right price.
