If fans on this forum didn't want Madine because of his behaviour or his ability (although that seems to have been overlooked) they would've voted 'not happy ' with the signing, there was never going to be an outcome from this other than a set of data. I reiterate the vast majority, now that he's signed are happy, he's made the right noises and a lot of Blades seem to think because of this and that Wilder sanctioned it it's ok.
I haven’t voted, I’m not particularly ‘happy’ about it. Which is why I didn’t vote, because there wasn’t an option for ‘it’s not worth upsetting our promotion chances by getting arsy about something I can do nothing about and Wilder has enough credit in the bank to make a few decisions I don’t understand or don’t agree with.’

The people who voted that they agreed with the signing are accepting everything that comes with this person, there is no need to declare that he is forgiven, by virtue of accepting the signing that is a given. The poll gave a true indication of people's feelings but nothing was going to come from it, it was as anonymous as you wanted your vote to be and it wasn't hi-jacked (as the comments since have proved).
As for benefitting the club this waits to be seen but as I have previously pointed out he's played about 90 minutes of football this season he isn't going to be match fit and even at his peak he was making a contribution to a goal every 3 games.

A given? In your opinion.

Of course it's yet to be seen. People are hoping a signing benefits the club. In no way does it prove, as you strangely seem to believe, that his past behaviour has now been extinguished from peoples minds and he’s an okay guy. That’s holier than though nonsense.

You love Madine you do........

Reminds me of when Wilson was made manager. A lot of people weren't happy but his pig connections were soon forgotten when we started banging the goals in.

Mind you, Wilson didn't make a habit of smacking Blades fans on West St as far as I know

And we turned on him quickly when it went wrong. Bruce should take note. If he doesn’t get off to a good start he’ll soon become a ‘fat useless piggy twat’.

He slags our captain off. He's jailed for breaking one of our supporters jaw. He called me a piggy bastard and a fucking grunter while I was out with my Mrs. And I'm supposed to cheer for him and get behind him. Not a fucking prayer!

I believe in the justice system.

If you commit a crime, are convicted by a court, and serve your punishment then the slate is wiped clean otherwise there would be no point in the system.

It's the job of Government and the courts to ensure that the punishment fits the crime and there will never be universal agreement in that respect but for me Madine fits the criteria for being allowed to get on with his life.

Doesn't mean I have to like him but it does have to be the way a civilised society works.
