If we put aside the Shelvey goal as it has split opinion, let's not forget that the Newcastle brief was to come here and sap every last breath of football out of this game. Yes they took away the points tonight but god almighty! 10men behind the ball, 25% possession, time wasting (even in the first half!) Feigning injury to break up play and prevent counter attacks. That kind of football is only worth so many points in a season and I thank God I don't support a team that play that way! If we had been more clinical in front of goal then that tactic is shot!
I want to also add that if Billy goes down in the 1st half it has to be a penalty when it is watched back on VAR. However, his desire to score and moral compass prevented him from doing that. I'm saying that our integrity and desire to play football cost us the game and that's fine by me. I'm proud of them.
This team that CWAK have put together always come back stronger. Lessons will have been learnt! Looking forward to Sunday and Norwich. #UTB
p.s The commentary team prime put together was a disgrace for that game!
