You can never read to much into friendlies i know that but there are a few things i'd like to mention about todays game.

SUFC/OS

I feel it was very unfair to advertise this as a first team friendly, with only a handful of players that can be classed as first team i feel the game was falsely advertised to get fans to go.

The Game

Like i said you can't read to much it friendlies but i found this game very boring, the only positive i can take was that Slew was there and played the 2nd half so i hope he will sign a new contract.

The Players

IMO there were plenty playing today that aren't good enough. Maguire looked ok at the back, i was a bit disappointed with boggys contribution and cresswell was more interested in fancy flicks than trying to put the ball in the net.

Result

If i was DW i would be disappointed we didn't bag a few goals and win the game easy, we should have had far to much to beat a poor Sheffield FC side that looked tired after half an hour. On to the next game and if i was DW i look at adding a few more first team players.

1. Yes it was a friendly, and we never seem to do well pre-season, i think the result is a minor insignificance, as well as the performance.

2. Bogdanovic simply isnt and wont be good enough, get rid, and the same for cresswell.

3. I would like to think that DW is looking to add more first team player (or maybe thats wishful thinking!!)

Anyone know who 37 on the left wing was? (if it's someone I should know my excuse is I was slightly drunk and slightly bored). The reason I ask is because I thought he was the best player by a mile, some of the long range passes were pinpoint, especially first half. Second half he ran into a lot of brick walls but at least he was trying to take players on.

As for the score, I actually thought we were lucky! FC passed it around better than us but lacked the clinical edge in front of goal. Having said that it was a terrible game for all concerned.

The only positives to take from today are 37, drinking ale in the sun and watching Sheffield's 2 classiest sides play against each other.

wilson just been on blades player hes said that the first team squad will be playing against worksop

DP - I couldn't find your car park, I went towards Dronfield when maybe I should have gone up the hill but thanks again for the offer anyway.

one thing which caught my eye at the game was our new shirt, in my opinion its the best for a while.
