Sorry but somethings got to change, fed up of seeing the same players out there who just aren't good enough, this isn't just a direct reaction to yesterdays result but to many over the season especially against Hartlepool and Donny.
Many of you wont agree with me and its just my complete opinion but I have been impressed with some of the youth players who have taken their chances and I think many need to be now given a greater opportunity. At least you know they will wear their heart on their sleeve!
This wont happen I know and many of you will think I'm stupid but i've seen enough from many.

Long,
McMahon, Maguire, Higginbotham(c), McFadzean,
Murphy, Whitehouse, McDonald, Blackman,
Kitson, Ironside,

Subs:
Coyne, Westlake, Williams, Flynn, Doyle, De Girolamo, Porter

Doyle: Sorry but no one is undroppable, seems to keep his place because of his role of captain, he in my opinion is just not good enough, offers very little and would struggle to get in many League 1 sides.

Williams: Dreadful, gets lost out of position and distribution is awful, give Callum his chance might work pushing forward as well. To be honest when Hill is fit he will slot straight back in.

Flynn: Just completely lightweight, just want to see him try and beat a defender, got to say his performance at Donny was useless, just doesn't seem to put the effort in week in week out.

you might think I'm crazy but why not give some others a go, no player is worthy to start just because of who they are, McDonald is another who needs to sort himself out, still yet to get on the scoresheet, not good enough in my opinion can't believe how overrated he is, certainly would prefer Forrester from Brentford or even Alfie Potter from Oxford in our midfield who certainly showed how you should play in the cup last week.
If McDonald is struggling give Diago a chance, got to be honest haven't seen him play yet however all the reports on him from the twitter/fb feeds sound promising and he's bagged 2 in 2 for his country!
Ironside has impressed me, a real buzz and spring in his step and was certainly the catalyst to our comeback against Donny. Give him the start he deserves and see if he can get a goal.
Get Murphy out on the wing with maybe Blackman switching over to the left, reading many reports from Motherwell fans he can and has played wide so lets see it. I'm sure those two switching flanks would be more effective than with Flynn.
Whitehouse did more than Doyle at Donny and that's why I would give him a shout, many would say this could hamper the defensive work in midfield however I would like to see more attacking threat than a defensive one, more creativity.
Higginbotham for Skipper, has seemed very vocal since his arrival and well he's been there and done it in the Prem and Championship.

Call me deluded or whatever, just want to see something change because at the moment its not working, have faith in the kids and we will be back to where we should be, don't want a third season in League 1. UTB!!!

Several decent points there, and I agree with you that we need an injection of energy. I think the line up yesterday was good on paper, but obviously it didn't work.

Another suggestion:

Long
McMahon Maguire Higginbotham McFadzean
Blackman Whitehouse Doyle McDonald Murphy
Kitson
Subs: Coyne, Kennedy, Westlake, Flynn, Tønne, DeGirolamo, Ironside.

4-5-1, but with Doyle patrolling in front of the back four, the rest of the midfield could hopefully go forward more. Young, eager bench.

Why do we continue to put Blackman on the right he can't kick with his right foot and will only cut inside, we need to get behind defences not run across them. Same with Flynn on the left he can't kick with his left, it must make things easier if players are used where they are more comfortable.

Blackman has looked shocking on the right the last few games I've seen him and Murphy to me looked like a winger. I think people are being a bit harsh on Doyle, thought he was one of our better players yesterday... Also with Blackman making runs in front of McDonald might be making better opportunities for goals... Well thats if he bothers to try for once... Williams shouldn't even be on the bench... We need LJF or Collins back desperately

I don't mind them playing there, providing the full backs push on... Problem is, other than McMahon doing a bit, we tend to lose the ball before that can happen.

If we do continue with Flynn and Blackman, I'd like to see them switching more during games... if nothing else but to keep the opposition guessing. Only problem then is the discipline protecting left back. The first time I've seen then consciously do it was at one stage on Saturday.

I would like to see DeGirolamo and Ironside play more of a part. I am beginning to think that Porter is better than Kitson as well.

Looking to the future when injured players become available, I like the look of this set up, or something to this effect;

Long
McMahon Collins Higginbotham Hill
Blackman/DeGirolamo Maguire McDonald Murphy
Ironside/Blackman Miller

In time we will be good again. Have faith.

Maybe ideal to try this at Reading
