In today’s programme for the WBA match, p. 16, it says that Izzy Brown is the youngest player ever to have played for them, at the age of 16 years 117 days (v Wigan, May 4, 2013). In fact, the youngest ever player for them was Sheffield-born Charlie Wilson, who made his debut for them v Oldham, on October 1st, 1921, at the age of 16 years, 73 days. He was the cousin of Mrs HBT’s mother, and I have always taken pride in this connection. It helps to reduce my horror when I discovered that he signed for Wednesday in 1928, and was with them for the next 4 years, when Wednesday were hugely successful. I have often claimed that failure to inform me of this is grounds for divorce.

I trust you will write and ask for a retraction and you'll share your damages with the Forum :D

Don't ask for forgiveness. Take your retribution.

What an excellent post HBT - its great that humour is still part of 'us' and we can have a laugh and learn something too. I must admit though, I thought it was the Chancer coming on here to complain about how he is treated by the bunch of weirdos who follow his club!
