Former Sheffield United captain Shaun Murphy has taken his first steps into coaching.
The 38 year-old has been named assistant coach with West Australia's Sorrento and said: "I've had quite a few years off and thought it was about time I started doing something again."
Murphy made in excess of 400 appearances for English clubs Notts County, West Bromwich Albion, Sheffield United and Crystal Palace before returning to Australia to captain Perth Glory to National Soccer League Grand Final success in 2003/04.
