Another brilliant performance today got me thinking, who do you think is the most improved player at the club since Clough came in? Im talking about players that was here before he arrived, not new signings.

For me i'd say it has to be Flynn, he gets forward so much more than before and he's no longer scared to take players on. I always thought he was capable of this level of play but in the past it just never seemed to happen for him!

The other two I'd like give mentions to are Murphy and Maguire.

Murphy pretty much for the same reasons as Flynn, seems happier on the ball nowadays and again not scared to take people on.

Maguire has always been a player of great potenial, and has been our player of the season for the last two years, however since Clough arrived he really has improved greatly and it seems that he's finally going to fulfill the potential we all knew he had.

So who's it going to be for everyone else?

Murphy for me, Flynn has had some good games in the past, but Murphy hasn't really until recently, he is playing incredibly well at the moment. Coady aswell has improved no end.

Tricky to say!

So many look like totally different players to before.

My only regret is that Brandy and Cuvelier didn't improve (or get the chance to improve for whatever reason) in the same way. I maintain that both has lots of contribute and could still do so one day under Clough.

If I had to pick just one it would be Harry, although its tough to pick one out of Murph, Flynn, Howard, Collins, Coady.

Easily Murphy for me. A transformed player.

When Flynn booted the ball infront of him and challenged his fullback to a foot race and then won was just pure confidence. we now have 2 wingers under Clough and everyone has improved. It's between Murphy and Flynn for me but i'd go with Murphy who now just rips people to shreds.

Late in the game, the way Murphy caught Howard's long kick with his heel was similar to how Glyn Hodges would kill a long ball dead with the outside of his foot. Amazing skill!

Yes! That was a truly great piece of skill and again exemplified how much confidence he must be playing with.

Murphy is living up to his £2million FIFA13 value now. :)

So I will agree with others that he is the most improved under Clough.

I think that Flynn, Murphy, Collins and the Man boy Maguire all look like different players. I wouldn't have paid Collins in buttons before christmas.

I think Coady has improved immensely under Clough and will continue to do so.

Yup, said that to The One at the match, he really had no right to get to that first, but 3/4 yards of it were from pure confidence.

There are so many, Collins comes to mind, these days he looks like a quality C/H, but earlier in the season, well, he was far from the player we saw today. Coady too, plus Doyle, and Murf and Flynn....gotta give credit to Baxter, he's never been a forward, but he's managed to play that front role effectively and make those around him a more fluid unit. Still think we need a forward(s) though.

The concensus is the majority of the squads improved under Clough, Doyle was the target for the most bile and hatred, and he must be the most improved as hes not been called a cunt for a month

Mind you some former regular nay sayers seem to be CONSPICUOUS BY THEIR ABSENCE
