So glad I'm living down south today, will get the odd jibe tomorrow, but not a patch on what the blades 'brothers' are going to get back home.BOLLOX.utb.ps glad the f@@king things over to be honest, let's get back to winning ways next match. This is just a minor set back, onwards and upwards and get out of this poxy league.

Come Monday morning the reality that Megson is still their manager will have sunk in. And that rubbish style of football we played 2nd haldf is what they have to watch every week. Let 'em enjoy their cup final.

Couldn't have put it better myself.

Plus, despite their impressive turn out and full house, they'll be back to their normal attendance's next game, 20k missing

The only Pigs I've got at my work are ones that didn't even bother going to the game today.

Well said.

Both of you are missing a vital point: WE LOST 1-0

We were shite
Created Bugger All
Bottled it when it mattered

Above three points are not lies - FACT

Not interested in Wednesday - the fact is Wilson & Co screwed up - it hurts it should hurt every Unitedite - if it doesn't then butt out!!

1st half we were well matched.

Sure it hurts, course it does, but its a game that needs to be put into perspective. We are the better team, but we got done today by a team that managed to stop us scoring.

But it is just one game and I don't think it needs the full investigation into the hows and whys when we've been infinitely better almost all season

By the way Swiss, we have been beaten by several teams who have stopped us scoring! Charlton (twice), Huddersfield, Wycombe, Stevenage, are amongst them - we never looked like scoring -we didn't create anything - as for being the best team in the first half - so what - games are played over 90 minutes not 45!

And yet we're still 2nd with two games in hand over 3rd.

Yep, lifes shite.

Swiss, can we really say we're better than them at the moment? We threw away a two goal lead in the last 7 minutes at Bramall Lane and have just lost at Hillsborough. I think we have to see where both sides are at the end of the season before we can say that.

Regardless of what we think of them or their style of play, they beat us today in a match that they really had to win. The pressure was all on them and they coped with it. We were found wanting.

Obviously, todays defeat doesn't hurt you Swiss - it bloody hurts me
I have been let down time and time again by my beloved Blades and it doesn't hurt any less!
Just for once I am looking for a United side with Bottle - Today proved we are sadly lacking in that department!!

Top Reply OldBlade - we are singing from the same hymn sheet!!

Current standings show that we are better than them.

I already said it hurts, don't try and turn this into a pissing contest of hurt.

Sure we were let down, but sometimes you just have to take a step back and accept that we were beaten by a team that out thought and out fought us.

Does it mean that over the course of the season they are better than us? Not so far.

Sorry Swiiss, today we were not as good as them Score 1-0
We didn't score they did Full stop

True, i'm just saying that its one game in the 30+ that we've played this season.

last time we went up we lost 12 games
today we lost our 7th, disappointing losing to an anti football team, but it happens

League table still says we are 2nd , win on wednesday the gap returns
even a draw puts us 3 points ahead with a far superior gd

Its likely you lose to other top 6 clubs in this division, we could lose 2 more , but overall we will still climb away
we still look far more likely to break 90 points than the team that had to adopt every spoiling tactic in the book to eak out a slender win

we have only lost 3 games all to top 6 clubs in the past 5 months
Wednesday lose at exeter chesterfield etc

No, they show that against the sides we've played so far we've accumulated 2 more points than them. But we've not played the same sides as them yet at home and away.

If the positions remain the same when we've all played the same teams at home and away, then we will be able to say we have been better than them over the course of the season, and then I might feel a little less annoyed at having lost to them.

It's just one game? wtf? You sound like Bryan Robson.
Yep, its just one game out of 46. I genuinely couldn't care any more or less about the games against Wednesday than the other 44 that we'll play over the course of the season.

Obviously it'd be nice to have the bragging rights but if we lose, so what? Just move on to the next game. We're in the driving seat for automatic promotion so losing today really doesn't bother me! I was more gutted when we lost to Charlton.

You can look at it in many ways, but its the only barometer we have to judge progress.

I'd rather be in our position than theirs.

I also think that had they been in our position and us theirs, then we'd have been more up for it today.

Do i think its a really big deal to the overall season? No

Huddersfield are more of a worry to our position and we didn't bottle it at their ground.

They do look to be more of a threat as they have played the same number of games as us and are 4 points behind. However, they are one of the few teams in the division who have more away games to play than us. they've played only 14 away games so far, compared to 17 home games. We've played 15 away games and 16 home games.
