When getting off the tube at Kings Cross St Pancras, do not follow the Way Out signs, you'll be walking through tunnels for an hour. Instead, follow the signs to the Circle/Metropolitan/Hammersmith & City lines up to the ticket hall and exit there.

Here's another one - don't take the train to any station other than South Bermonsey, even though there are other stations near the ground.

If you see someone in a velour waistcoat and a top hat riding a unicycle in Camden, deck the fucker.

Heads it's 'Walking through tunnels for an hour. Tails 'it's going to match.'

tix arrived today :)

Was contemplating getting Jubilee to Canada Water and walking from there
Don't want to drink pre match around there, though.

Last two times I went to The Den we drew 1-1 and won 4-1 (Pedro Verde scored in that one) - both at the Old Den.
Our coach had air conditioning fitted to it before we left :o

Was that 1-1 in 78 Colin Franks scored for us.
Millwall were launching all sorts at us.

Agree - launched all sorts at us but the 1-1 I went to was in the 80s, I believe.
Seem to recall Andy Walker getting the equaliser - but that could have been at St Andrews.

Deffo remember Pedro Verde's goal as he snaked a leg out on the edge of the area in a sliding tackle and managed to get the ball across the keeper to the foot of the post the opposite side. Technically v good - Think Steve Neville also scored in that game - maybe two

Was the 4-1 game around 1980 or 1981? Remember ending up on the home end. Not very wise. Derek Richardson got some serious racial stick that day. Don't think I've ever heard it quite as bad as that.

That's the chicken :)

I ended up living in London in the 80's and ended up going to a few Millwall games with a bunch of skinheads from N London. At that time, the fans could pretty much do what they wanted. Loads of people openly carried cans of beer in and were supping them in front of the coppers and smoking spliff. Many also took speed. It was a big open terrace and all game people were surging backwards and forwards, chucking rocks and beer cans onto the pitch and fighting with the police. They didn't pay much attention to the game at all. Some of them were absolute nutters, and you could tell the cops were scared of them. People harp on about the good old days but at Millwall the hooligans basically owned the ground. A lot of the people I went with knew absolutely nothing about football.

A pal of mine went to see a pre-season friendly against Enfield there on a weeknight after work and still got filled in by a bunch of knobheads.
