The report has got it wrong on who scored first. It was John Tudor who gave us an early lead firing in a loose ball after the ref had waved "play on" when keeper Phil Parkes floored Geoff Salmons. Ron Hunt equalised for QPR in the 2nd half with a neat header. Phil Parkes made several stunning saves during the game especially in the 2nd half. After the game there was a police protection for the ref John Yates as angry Blades fans waited outside the John St players entrance to hurl abuse at him for his inept display and for disallowing Addison's goal
