As there's feck all else to do tonight, and every other thread around here is either people externalising their angst or satiating their need for attention, thought I'd start a thread about our current best performing player.

The player he reminds me of so much is Dennis Bergkamp. His ability to drop deep into the 10 role whilst being able to lead the line if required. Is surprisingly agile and nimble footed for a big guy, and is much stronger on the ball.

Plus, seems to come into his own with quick, mobile players around him.

Not sure here I'm going with this, but what the hell - makes a change to 99% of the other threads round this parts...

Wilder never mentions Sharp as a role model anymore it seems. Bad blood?

Love didsy. Class act

I may be wrong but pretty sure the great partnership of sharp and dids has never been tried at all in prem
Worth a shot surely

I love David , what a guy , how the hell he was released with no club after him 🤷‍♂️

His fitness record probably, we seem to have managed it quite well. Also if he could have scored more regularly he'd have been with millions and we'd have got nowhere near him.

I think we’ve managed his fitness quite well predominantly by being less than an hour from Nottingham 😉

...

Not sure where I'm going with this...

Straight to the nut house if you’re comparing David McGoldrick to one of the most technically gifted Premier League players ever.

McGoldrick’s alright. Unfortunately that’s enough to stand out for us at the moment. He still wouldn’t make the bench at any other club in the division.

PS. Bash is our best performing player at the moment, by some distance.

Our best player tonight by a country mile.

Did you notice his body language throughout the game? Iv'e never seen Didsy so animated with his team mates, looked like an angry bloke throwing his arms out many times and constantly complaining, this isn't like him. I think the close knit dressing room spirit has well and truely fucked off and Didsy cares.

I saw this, clear as day he was pissed off with what was going on around him.

He's the only bloke who can hold his head up high in the entire squad.

Basham has done his best but doesn't get away from the fact that he's been ever present in a defence that hasn't kept a clean sheet all season.

Satiating your need for attention perhaps?
