If McCabe was still owner Wilder would most likely still be manager
We may of course got relegated last season as I dont think McCabe would have invested as much money as the Prince

Would you rather have McCabe as owner and Wilder still here or the situtaion we now find ourselves in ?

No.
If McCabe was the one who won the tangle over ownership he would have immediately sold us on to some other outfit. Maybe the people who now own Burnley and things would be very different now.
I have no reason to think they would be better, in fact I think they would be worse.

I think Wilder would have left last season if McCabe was here. If the lack of funds and low wage bill is the main reason he's gone why would he have stuck around under someone who gave him less money?

I think the main reason he has gone is the DOF being imposed upon him
I know he was not happy with the JTW but he has always baulked at paying over the odds for players be that fees or wages and has said he treats the clubs money as his own and would not put the future financial stability of the football club at risk

At least McCabe seemed know he couldn't ( or wouldn't) fund at premier league levels. The Prince needed McCabe to pay his share for a few hundred k back in 2016..

Obviously we will never know but I don't personally think Wilder would be at the club today if McCabe had won the court case for a number of reasons

No he didn't, it was 2 dickheads doing dickhead stuff. You are 100% aware of what happened between them regarding their issues. Including the millions they both put in at different times

So what you're saying is that both owners fucked around raising money because they didn't want to put too much in to something they could lose at any time?
No. The Prince couldn't so McCabe had too. It's not a thing to pick sides over its black and white.

And there are other parts of those agreements where McCabe pissed about stalling as well.

I know he's (relatively) skint. They both are

I get it Pedro but on the basis that McCabe had verbally agreed a sale to ALK if he'd been successful in the Court Case, the likelihood is we would have neither McCabe, nor the Prince, nor Chris by now.

I've wanted McCabe out since our last relegation, so to see the back of him is a positive.

Let's be honest, the REAL preference would have been for Chris to have nailed a few more points and not spit the dummy out, bide his time until Summer recruitment and have a right go next season.

Fact is we have the Prince and no bugger as manager, and it's far from ideal, but we still have time to get our shit together for next season so I'll reserve full judgement until this time next year

Always got the impression Wilder preferred McCabe, better the devil you know.

I imagine they had far more common ground with watch other but essentially McCabe couldn't fund a Premier League club and if he had sold it would be to the guys now at Burnley who equally couldn't give Wilder what he wanted.

"50. Pursuant to the July 2015 Funding Agreement, UTB paid its initial £3,000,000 on 14 and 16 July 2015.

51. On 15 October, SUL did not pay its £3,000,000. Kevin McCabe had formed the view that it was better to drip feed the money into SUFC when it was really needed, rather than pay a large sum in one go. He did not tell Prince Abdullah that this was what he intended to do. Mr Phipps discovered that SUL had not paid in accordance with the July 2015 Funding Agreement and informed Prince Abdullah.

52. Prince Abdullah regarded it as a serious breach of trust"

Correct. This was a breach of trust as KM with held money in an effort to force PA to sack Jim Phipps.

The simple fact is CW would have been long gone under the ALK regime as Alan Pace tried to force his recruitment algorithm on him against a background of managing a debt in excess of £100m.

2 cheeks of the same arse.

McCabe would have sacked Wilder either over contract/transfer cash demands (see Warnock) or results, despite the lack of a better alternative (see Wilson). He’d have loved doing it as well given the size of his ego.

Football club owner types apply the same decision making process in football to how they run their businesses. They can’t grasp that the approach that made them loads of money doesn’t always translate into 3pts on a Saturday.

As said above ALK would be running the show now if KM had won and the club would be another 50 or so million in debt

If Wilder has left because he sees a certain vision for the club, in what universe would McCabe have been any different to the Prince ?
He'd have been even worse.
If McCabe was still here Wilder would have gone last January after McCabe had sold two or three players when their stock was high.

Our accounts have been delayed. We may find out we are in that form of debt anyway
