You want to sell season tickets then FFS take some action, get a grip of the club and remove Blackwell now.
You've got Speed there who can have a go until the end of the season and then have a rethink.
Who knows, you might fluke a honeymoon run that keeps the season alive and helps convince a few more to buy in for next season.
Do nothing and you're going to lose thousands of season ticket holders - and once they're gone, they ain't easy to get back.

Comparing a boil to Blackwell is a bit harsh.

One is hated by all, horrible and awful to look at.

The other is something you get on your skin

we could go into administration and it wouldn't deflect from what we think about Blackwell. Always love a good.. I heard something today and that's it.. Some would think it's clever

Bryan Robson to be re-appointed with Megson as his assistant? Lee Baxter to come in as goalkeeping coach.

amen Lenners. I didn't even bother listening/checking tonight as I was sure we'd lose and I actually don't really care. I just looked at the result now.

Time to go Kevin.

My opinion may be different if i was privvy to what Sitwell knows but I doubt if a player has been a naughty boy it will detract too much from Blackwell's position.

Jesus how many thankers Len ?
You've never been so popular :D

Might I suggest that anyone who quoted removed comments, delete them. Obviously he has had second thoughts about what was posted. We know the club monitor this site so lets not get anyone in trouble needlessly.

To be honest it's the equivalent of a shit comedian going to a KKK convention and opening up with the line "There was this nigger..........." On that topic, to that audience he can't fail.

Can't see how a player being naughty is going to do anything but more harm to Blackwell, he's the guy responsible for managing them.
The worst thing about tonight is losing Ward and Williamson - Yeates isn't quite as good and in the recent home performances Williamson's stood out.
On the flip side, there is now every chance of a run of defeats which will making sacking inevitable unless McCabe wants another car park gathering on his hands.
If he's got any vision, McCabe must realise the season's gone and so is Blackwell. It makes no sense having him hang on when we could have a look at Speed now.
And if Blackwell is here in August, he is only delaying the inevitable because we will very quickly be looking at a relegation battle.

Not Speed for heavens sake not Speed.

I don't think he's likely to be the answer either but I do think he's there and he knows the players and hence could do a job until May.
In a sense, this is beginning to become a critical situation financially.
United are in real danger of losing thousands of season ticket holders unless they act now.
There is a poisonous atmosphere, with fans turning on the club because they simply don't feel as if the club gives a shit about them.

McCabe best we've ever had ! :D remember ?

The WHOLE management structure at BDTBL stinks ! ...... we fooked up with money to spend ! God help us now.

Just look how far we have fallen since Mr Warnock left

McCabe will probably be quite happy to use the cheap option of Speed but since he already has input into the side don't expect that he alone would bring much of a change.
Get rid of Warnock bring in his number two,get rid of Blackwell bring in his number two.
No thanks!

Who knows, we might fluke a honeymoon run and end up with another manager who isn't up to it with a 3 year contract sat in his pocket.

Not entirely convinced that Blackwell will be going anywhere any time soon although defeat on Saturday would push him a bit closer.

We've been here so many times when fury on the message boards and phone-ins is followed by apathy at the ground.

I think it would probably take thousands of letters to Trevor Birch saying I won't renew with Blackwell in charge to see him removed. Personally I don't see the spirit amongst Blades fans any more to take any collective action.

(btw I'm after the seat next to mine for next season - if that person could not renew in protest it would be much appreciated)

The protest that is going to hit United and McCabe much harder is from those season ticket holders who won't be renewing.
I still think they're sleepwalking into losing thousands.
People might think McCabe doesn't care but a big fall in crowds, increased debt, more difficulty paying him back, less desirable investment prospect doesn't really help him personally.

Absolutely right. In the last couple of seasons, the renewal period has coincided with our best form of the season but this year it's quite the opposite. He'll have the sales figures in front of him in the next few weeks which should make it quite clear and if results don't improve and the fans respond as they did with Robson, it's difficult to see how he can blindly continue with a blinkered approach to it all.

I'd give it to Speed.

He'd be learning on the job, and liable for a mistake or two, but its about time we took a punt on a manager with something to prove rather than the has beens and never will be's!

Saturday will be the second time in 2 years Warnock will be welcomed off the away bus by loads of Blades begging him to come back!
