McBurnie injury

Don’t like to see any player get injured but if there was ever a blessing in disguise it was this injury.
Exactly, we’ve ended up with a strikerless system and although it’s early days, it’s working out quite well. Some of the short passing up front on Saturday was sublime, the fourth goal in particular was a thing of beauty. With McBurnie, we’d have been playing it longer and inevitably losing possession more often.

Heard exactly the same on this forum about Berge, Brewster and Ramsdale and how we should take any offer with a massive loss to just move them on. Simple fact is if we stay in this league we need to get a significant chunk of change back for all of them. One down, sold with profit. Berge showing the player some of us said he always was but other couldn’t see, while getting the same “doesn’t try” nonsense incidentally, but we’re not yet in a position where we would certainly secure a profit.
Brewster needs another season as he was incredibly raw when we over paid for him, but he’ll come good.
McBurnie also will need to show more next season and for our clubs best future we all need to hope he does.
McBurnie needs to fuck off somewhere else for next season.

Always hear about how he tries really hard and he wants to turn things around and enjoys being here. The guy couldn’t even be bothered to turn up for the lap of honour after the game on Saturday.

There is no doubt in my mind that if McBurnie had been fit we would not have made the playoffs. He simply could not do what Ndiaye has done in the last 3 games.

Although this was always on the cards. The Revo family consensus when Sharp went down was there was no way on earth McBurnie would stay fit until the end of the season, and so it proved. Many others thought the same I’m sure.

addition by subtraction, unfortunately for him.

Ndiaye, Sharp, Brewster and one of Osula and Jebbison are likely to be here next season. He isn't going to play

My preference would be offload McB for 200K and use that to pay for Didsy for 1 more year. Didsy has more skill in 1 toenail than McB does in his whole gangly body.

What wages do you think he would demand?

I'd hazard a guess that McBurnie wouldn't have been in the position that the goal scorers were in on any of the 4 goals we scored on Saturday, he'd have been lolloping around on the edge of the box, arguing with their defender or shouting at the ref with his hands in the air.

No striker is evidently a better option than playing our most expensive striker!

Everyone has their view on McBurnie, but there's no questioning his heart and desire
Gives everything every game, has struggled with injury and illness all season, then when he does get a chance he does ankle ligaments and 4 fractures in his toes
And he played in agony for 30 mins with those injuries
He’s looked like he’s been playing with four broken toes for 18 months to be fair.

‘No questioning his heart and desire’??? Fuck sake is that a serious comment or are you being sarcastic? Desire doesn’t start on Saturday at 3pm and finish 90 minutes later. He’s never been fit for 18 month, he surrounds himself with idiots and lives his life like he’s some chav who’s had a big win on a scratch card, whilst expecting to compete with professional athletes?

Desire! don't make me fucking laugh, he’s a footballing con man and you’ve clearly been taken in, along with our medical team. He’s had more injuries than Evel Knievel since he joined us, I suspect he’ll find his natural level in the next few years and its way below the Championship.

I'd say if we give him away and some lunatic thinks that they can make him good- he'd probably demand 20K a week. But IMHO the way he has performed we won't be able to give him away.

I was talking about McGoldrick and how you think he'd take four grand a week

If N'Diaye had been the one using McBurnie's minutes, perhaps we might have been in the mix for top two rather than top 6 for the last weekend?

Watching all the videos back was McBurnie there last Saturday as I didn't see him.
