What about getting this guy on board? Good defender at this level. Maybe just what we need next to Morgs? Probably not as expensive as Nosworthy. A good option in my opinion, especially as he's on a free. The grunters can't afford him, but hopefully that means we can. What do y'all reckon?

The PNE fans I know reckoned Mwene was better than Claude when they were a 'pair' but he seems to be past his best now. Having said that, they don't rate St Ledger these days either, they say he's been pants since he came back from the loan spell with Boro.

No not for me thanks. He looked a decent player in his early days at Preston but I remember him getting a bad injury a few seasons ago. He had a really long lay off and wasnt the same player when he came back. A bit clumsy at times and ive heard Preston supporters slate him (which is not in their nature).

Nosworthy is a much better player (despite what some say about him) and is worth investing the extra money in. Get Noz and Bartley (loan) in and we will be fine for centre halves as Ertl can play there as well.

I personally had always thought we signed the wrong one of the two when we signed Davis. Always rated Mawene, and yes I agree he is probably slightly past his prime, but surely worth a punt if (as rumoured in several places) we cant afford Nos for whatever reason

Apparently those drinking rumours are nonsense, made up by one of his former clubs who couldnt afford to pay him - so released him. Might have seen it on here or on a linked forum but someone reckons he took legal action over it. Who knows????

I wouldn't be surprised. It's one of those rumours that fans/clubs spread almost as a default slur. It's on the list right next to knocking one of his teammates missus' off.

He obviously had talent and ability at some stage, and he is still young enough to push on. Here's hoping he does well, can't remember the last time we signed a trailist.

Wasnt Camara one? Apart from him I cant think of one either.

It's always the default slur, just at Robson or Naysmith amongst others.
Cantona was knocking Lesley Ash off, etc etc.

One that was true about Camara is that his English was so poor when he joined he could only say "score", "play", and "goal bonus"
