Bought one Saturday. Couple of comments:

Blackwell described Barnsley's opener as a 'wonder goal.' I haven't got it in front of me but he suggested we are unluckily falling foul of a number of wonder goals - I assume he means the long range ones Bunny has let in. Wish my gaffer was so understanding.

Is the Seth Bennett column a regular feature? If so, I won't be buying another one. I totally agree with Edwards on Radio sheffield when he slates Blackwell and Evans but this article was sickening in the way it sucked up to him (one snippet about the laughs they have on the way to matches made me ill) - as was the large picture of Edwards with a no doubt free glass of wine.

The Q&A with Treacy asked what his non-footballing talents are. He said he hasn't got any (no surprise I suppose) and that the players rib him for likely putting on alot of weight after he stops playing. I know it shouldn't matter and it doesn't and I don't know him but he just seems so incredibly dull and thick. Sorry Keith.

Every programme ever has terrible starts by the manager, bar a few choice ones from John Beck!

I remember some of the drivel by Ken Furphy, Jimmy Sirrel, Harry Haslam and the rest. Even John Harris was as dull as ditchwater in the programme. For sharp and inciteful writing on football the matchday programme isn't, and never was, the place to find it.

I think the players have got it spot on regarding Keith. He has the early signs of a fat face!

Imagine if he packs in the fags, he'll be about 15 stone.

No doubt he doesn't have the reasonably lean body you'd expect a 21 year old pro footballer to have and can I see him making a lung bursting run in injury time at end of game if he's started - no. Dare I suggest he needs to work harder in the gym and watch his diet? I know we all have different biological make-ups but Andy Reid has shown what can be done with a bit of discipline on the training and diet front and I wonder if Keith could do with a bit of the same? Very possibly I am being incredibly harsh here and I aint got a clue how he trains or what he eats/drinks.

Agreed, I think Treacy will struggle to ever make it at the top level as he just isn't athletic enough. He's talented but not talented enough to make a career in the top flight given his lack of overall fitness.

OK, I did know that which is why he was left out of the first list of notables, I maybe should have phrased that better. Whenever John Harris was quoted or interviewed for the programme he appeared very dull and said nothing of any real note!

Jimmy Sirrel wrote notes that could keep you engrossed for hours.

I still have some old programmes from that era and, even now, I can read them and they're as entertaining as they ever were and, to this day, I don't understand one of them.

I always thought he wrote as he spoke...total gibberish!
