Actually Dave, he's now known round here as the
Ginger Messi, but we'll let you off!
Seriously, good to hear from a fan from another team and one who knows his footie.
What's the feeling now about Paul Lambert? Don't think Norwich are too popular outside of Norwich (too up-their-own-arse, too loved by the media, too Delia and too inbred). Must say, when I see him on TV I think '
What a cnut!'
The C word has been replaced by Lambert on our board by the swear filter, so it might go someway of explaining how we feel. We knew he wouldn't stay long, he has walked out on most clubs in his managerial career.
He froze out some decent players, but also brought in some good players too. What is galling about the move and suspicious is that we tried to sign Grant Holt for £400k and it all went a bit quiet. The next thing you know is Lambchop had pissed off and taken him to Norwich...strange huh?
He also signed the worst footballer I have ever seen in Joel Thomas for £125k from Hamilton just before he left too. Their fans were in utter disbelief anyone had paid a fee for him as he was crap and unsurprisingly he was released after a year and paid off.
He has done well, but he is a horrible b******d of a man and I really hope Norwich suffer this season. Our chairman called them Nazi's and landed himself in a bit of hot water over their dealing with the whole thing.
We had a good relationship with Nodge prior to that, but we got our money for him and he has since nicked our left back who showed his true colours on Saturday with Klasnic. Lambchops interview was terrible, but then all his interviews are terrible, all you ever understand is brilliant or terrific, he sounds like he is half cut most of the time!
As for our number 4 - Magnus has been brilliant for us. Got a bit of pace and not afraid to stick his head in where it hurts and he is decent positionally too. He was named as one of the stars outside the Premier League a couple of years ago, but ever since he had been linked with moves to Leeds, Reading, Charlton et al in the summer, he has had his head turned a bit. On his day he is quality. Trouble is, he isn't a footballing centre half as his first touch is a pass half the time, but the manager insists of playing him as one. Our whole defence seemed so overawed by the occassion and you put us to the sword.
