"When a club like Sheffield United comes knocking at your door, there's only one option."
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Yeah, 'cos we're fucking Real Madrid.

Edit: Sorry turned into Charlie Brooker for a minute.

I like the lad but it's a stupid comment especially when he turned us down in the summer?

Found that a very silly comment too considering! :)

Started very well I think. Was concerned that the Boro fans I know weren't overly bothered he was going - thought he was decent but not great.

Spoke to him and a few others last week in the hotel. They all said how bad the pitch actually is, but probably doesn't look to the fans.

As I player I think he is a good addition and the sort of player, proven at a lower level, we should be looking at given the current financial climate.

Those type of clichéd comments just make me laugh.

We obviously didn't "knock" hard enough in the summer.

In the highlights he looked outstanding.
Looks much stronger than Cotts. I can see what Blackie was thinking.

Bottled out of plenty of challenges did Yeates, in fact one of the times he bottled it, he ended up going down injured.
If he carries on doing that he will get a serious injury.

Right, I'm complaining to Blades World. They didn't show a single bottled challenge on the highlights.

Robbie right, he also did it a few times against Derby.

Surprisingly he then threw himself into a 60/40 against later on.

Was it just me who thought that he flattered to deceive? Yes there was lots of energy and good movement off the ball, with a Brazilian back heel thrown in for good measure but after the adrenalin of signing for a new club has worn off I can see him being a very frustrating player. Ward was far more productive and used the ball better.
I hope that I am proved wrong as it was nice to see 2 wingers but if we are going to compare him to Cotts then I would say that Cotts crosses were more productive

No, not just you.

He looked OK as he is comfortable on the ball BUT:

He didn't get to the byeline therefore his crosses were from a deeper position and not as dangerous as they could have been.
He chose the wrong option (a la CKR) on a number of occasions.

Overall, as with the Derby game, I was happier with him on the pitch than not being there and I am hopeful he will get better and be given a run of games. He hasn't got the lightning speed or array of tricks that mean he will be beating full backs for fun but is a step up on Williamson, Cresswell, Quinn and Stewart out wide.

I thonk he should be given time to settle in before we judge him. He has started well and although he does seem to lack pace he is the best option we have at the moment and looks a real goal threat when he is on the ball.

He lacks pace?

He was rather nippy if you ask me.

I like him, but he needs to try to do less sometimes. Often, he's made some space and beaten a man, but then seems to feel the need to cut back and let the opposition player regain his position.

Definitely could be frustrating. That said, I thought he was better than Jamie who was far too intent on having a shot from 35 yards every time he got the ball.
