Starts for Pompey today.

I will be watching this with interest on Sky as I for one, have not given up completely on Sparky. There is a player in there and if he can get his head right, he may prove this assertion correct.

Also gives me a chance to see what Doyle still has to offer and if we were a bit quick to release him !!

Sparky has time on his side, Doyle doesn't. I hope this helps you mate :)

Point taken !

Although not sure Spark has as much time as you suggest. If its gonna happen has to be sooner rather than later surely ?

As for Doyle, while I wouldn't want him back, he is exactly the "type" of player we badly need at this time. An upgrade of Doyle would walk straight in to the side for me at the moment as Hammond just ain't doing it !!

Sparky is only 23 years old who was our top goalscorer last season in a team that didn't like to venture over the halfway line, i think he still has plenty of time to prove the doubters wrong.

I agree totally with your Doyle summary.

I'd like to think this loan can be the kick up the arse young Marc needs and that he still has a big role to play for us.

I'm of the view that he may not come back.

Seems like he maybe there til the end of the season and then he will be gone.

Although if he scores I'm sure everyone will want him back.

That was dire. Four of our former players and all gash.

I thought McNulty played pretty well, he ran the channels well ;) , won corners by chasing everything down and would have scored but for a great save from their keeper, who coincidently claimed crosses in his hands from their crosses :)

He was one of their best players (along with Webster) but they were all pretty poor. Some top low quality hoof ball on show.

If Portsmouth fancy him I would rip their hand off, the squad is in need of a makeover, not only not renewing contracts but moving contracted players on wherever possible.

Another club unhappy with the product on the pitch jeering and booing at the end of the game when will this madness end ;)

I think saying he was poor is really harsh on him, i thought Burgess was the best player along with McNulty. I thought Doyle broke play up well aswell but unfortunately lost it soon after, admittedly he was trying some worldy balls. I think Portsmouth will be alright this season and have a real chance of promotion this season.

Nah only we do that

I saw bits. He was ok but not totally convincing. A player that needs moving on. Too inconsistent and does not work hard enough. Shame as at times thought we may have found a diamond. The game against Southampton was his high point. He was brilliant that night; worked his socks off and held iit up superbly. Since then he had done very little.

Thought he did ok real . Pompey are the he field utd of league two we will be ok this season. Doyle is hard working , Ben davies has been one of our best players this season .

Good luck. Hope you achieve promotion. Big fan base like us and decent fans who deserve better.

Do they still ring those Pompey chimes?
