Conceited but imo not maungy unless its
A. Refrrees
B. Our fans
C. Other teams fans
D Fl fixtures
E.pundits
Apart from that just a normal bloke

Is it coincidence that every teams fans in the division sees Wilder as a Mardy bum and our players as entitled whingers
Aye
Absolutely not.
Chatting with Plymouth fans yesterday who almost universally were pleasant & easy going & there wasn’t one that didn’t express dislike for Wilder (in particular) & SUFC by association.
Becoming increasingly difficult, (if not impossible) to defend / justify, compounded by some ‘fans’ (sic) behaviour down the Barbican on Friday night - “no surrender to the IRA indeed - WTF !?!?!?!

We’ve come a long way from being darlings of Sky & “everybody’s favourite second team”

I don't know why anyone bothers defending him. His managerial record speaks for itself but the guy is a stone cold cnut.

Absolutely
Having witnessed the shit flung at the players @ Oxford, I was (somewhat) sympathetic to Wilders chosen stance in ‘defending’ players / calling out (offending / offensive) fans, (even) going as far as saying:

“Behave like a twat & expect to be treated like a twat” ?, albeit that (now) applies equally to Wilder

Absolutely no need for any of it yesterday-
- why stay out on the pitch (for a huddle) - shades of the Phil Brown debacle @ ‘ull

why ‘stare down’ / obstruct the Argyle lads (understandably) enjoying the moment - I don’t recall CW ‘mixing it’ with the Dirties players when they we’re celebrating @ Bramall Lane

Why engage in ‘banter’ with a Plymouth fan (even if he was / is a “fat lad” supporting a team that is going down)

Equally, why can other manager’s change tactics / formations / approach within a game & we persist with ‘like for like’ substitutions (until the last 10 minutes (when we’re behind ) & then just Chuck anybody / everybody on ?

Thank fuck the cricket has begun, albeit sharing space with hoards of (resurrected) Dirties 😳

It's like the saying 'No one likes a clever sod' when secretly, everyone would like to be one.

They might dislike Wilder but secretly, they're just envious that they haven't got their own version.
They've said as much, they'd love an absolutely unhinged obsessed fan in charge who fights with the opposition players, and calls his own fans a joke.

Couldn’t care less what other fans think of us, why the fuck would any of us care

We have a winner. Back when Bramall Lane was a bear pit that actually supported our team this was the attitude of our fans. We were cool then 😎. Now we have entitled snowflakes who are obsessed with being liked and too cool to sing following us. Sad times.

Imagine if we were bottom half or something...

I guess you’d love to be able to turn the clock back to the 80s. It won’t be happening, football and society have moved on, for better or worse. Those days won’t be coming back no matter how much you’d like them to.

Whose talking about the 80s?. Plenty of other clubs are managing in 2025.

I think being top then losing 3 on the bounce and then kicking off at opposition players for celebrating a victory that got them off the bottom of the league has made Wilder a bit of a laughing stock.

To be honest he has had his time. That’s why he is mardy.

Man United, Ipswich, Swansea, Portsmouth.
Man Utd? 😂😂😂
Swansea? 😂😂😂😂

You could have said Forest or Newcastle & I’d have given you more credibility. Maybe even Luton before this season.

Pompey and Ipswich, until this season, are on an upswing on the rollercoaster, as are Forest & Newcastle. Whereas we’ve topped out and settled into yo-yo land unless something dramatic happens.

Still not a very big list though.
