I didn't want to make a thread like this but unfortunately there are some very unhappy Blades out there. Personally, we've got the right man but wrong players.

FFS don't let's go down that at this stage of the season

Not totally happy, but, sorry, daft post.

Everyone's entitled to their own post matey. And u have to admit there are a few supporters out there who have had enough and are calling for clough. I personally am NOT calling for clough. I was just curious to what others thought

Does the manager not choose the players?
While I do like him for not just throwing money at the wall like Bryan Robson I hate all these negative tactics. Is he playing false 9 (I can't make the games at the moment) or what else is he doing with no striker? Why does the team need to change every week? Why is McGahey not playing? Why does McNulty not start despite scoring most of our goals.

I have called some of Cloughs decision strange, I think the pre-season was a shambles, but having a post to see if Clough will be manager at the end of the season smells of pork dripping.

Just an opinion mind you, but thanks for starting the post.

some blades really are bellends.

lets get blackwell back eh pricks.

personally ive give nc a 10 year contract to sort this shit pile.

You'd give him a 10 year contract? He's managed 1 promotion in 15 years as a manager, so that's a 2 in 3 chance of being promoted by the time it runs out. ;)

I agree this thread is ridiculous, but I would argue that any manager who doesn't take us at least into the playoffs, even if it was Jose Mourinho, should be very, very worried about their job. The original post is a bit ridiculous because that aim is still very much achievable so we can't judge, but do you think we shouldn't have a base level of achievement that has to be met?

You only give 10 year contracts to managers who have crippling gambling debts with the Mafioso after him. Ask Mike Ashley

The Blades this season both home and away have not performed to fill me with any confidence. We have required a good , strong , CF since we lost Ched ( who did cost us promotion ) . We cannot get rid of Mr Clough because who else would we get .

We do not seem to have a plan B , settled side , and no real game changing players. Opposition managers know how to play against us and set there team up accordingly.

In Mr Clough , we have to trust . Having 9000 or 19,000 attendances is irrelevant . There is something wrong at BTBL but i said that 30 years ago.Nothing has really changed in that respect. We need a CF sooner rather than later and Ched is not the answer , as he will not be up and running until January .

We need that CF now . It is no good creating chances and not taking them. The jig saw puzzle is nearly there , but i feel we are running out of time and fans running out of patience . This is not the glass is half empty , it is a fact.

if we do not get promotion Mr Clough and his brother will resign and take the pay off. Mr Clough , board , Clough brother , we are in your hands.

much as i really like the guy, if we don't see any improvement i'd say that the knives will be out at the end of this season if previous has anything to go by. We normally give them a couple of seas don't we?? clough has credit in the bank cred. wise but it's going down fast

Hypothetical scenario here:

Imagine there is a parallel universe. Weir managed to save us and we finished 15th in the table with no FA Cup run, Weir was sacked at the end of the last season. In universe 1, we appointed Clough and in universe 2, we appointed Michael Appleton.

Both managers bought the exact same players and got the exact same results and were both where we are in the table now. Who do you think would be given the most time? Which manager would cause the fans to lose patience the quickest?

Just saying...

PS: I do not think Clough should be sacked. Just a hypothetical scenario.
