like before i dunno how reliable the football rumours website is: football rumours

"Neil Warnock to Portsmouth by Tuesday, Sheff United drawn up 4 man shortlist to replace him, Sir Bobby Robson, George Burley, Peter Reid and Swansea's Kenny Jackett the names on list. Mick McCarthy could come in to the equation if as rumored he is sacked at Sunderland this week"

its after the bit about charlton signings.

Bobby Robson would be a great manager to appoint if Warnock was to leave! Same applies for Burley. Don't think i would want Peter Reid though, and not sure on the other guy from Swansea.

yer i agree, wud love to see robson at the lane..lol..i think he cud bring in some quality players cos im sure many ppl wud wanna play under him.

I think he is past it tbh. George Burley or even John Gregory for me.

Sir Bobby would only be short term, surely the club would like to try and bring in someone a tad younger to hopefully enable some sort of stability.

There is no-one currently available that would do a better job than Warnock imo.

i wud take a chance, because he is a big favourtie with the players and he aint know dummy wen it comes to football and tactics IMO, they would play their hearts out for him IMHO.

I'd have him on a trial period or something like that see how things go then why not offer him the job he has the brain think he would be better at making subs than warnock

How about Tony Mowbray? doing a good job at Hibs and could possibly bring in some of his talented players from Hibs like Riordan, O'Conner, Thomson.

He's a very good new up and coming manager as his gets his team to play some brilliant football plus he knows this league from his playing days at Ipswich. The man for me would have to be Micky Adams imo but the thought of getting Sir Bobby is brilliant :D

to get sir bobby wud be a massive boost for the united following, i've mentioned before that i think sir bobby would be able to persuade many players to join the blades because im sure many would love to play under him.
