Well he's a handful for defenders, which takes the pressure off a bit when we start having to hoof it, bit like Hanson but better at it. Still got my reservations.

Not so sure Cardiff would sell as I would imagine Warnock would want to see if he can have any impact, otherwise its looks money very badly spent - whatever Warnock says about him doing well for them last season.

Personally, I don't think he's what we need. What we really need is pace and/or creativity, although I think McGoldrick coming will add much needed creativity, as last season there were games where we drew blanks and needed a spark from somewhere. If we sign Madine then surely it would only work if Leon wasn't alongside him as they're both big lads and not the quickest. I'd much rather we signed someone different to what we have, or a better version of what we have and Madine isn't either in my book. Plus the fact that if he misses a golden chance the fans will be right on his back from the off.

Ignoring his past or that he is obviously a total chopper, the main problem with the washing machine is that he isn't prolific enough. That said I do think he's a good player at Champ level and thought he was the best player on the pitch (together with Robinson) when Bolton won at the Lane last season.
