Played out of our collective skins, had luck with few injuries and teams did not know how to set up against us. If we want to establish ourselves as a Prem club we need to up the budget for fees and wages.

and over time i'm sure we will, but there are too many examples of clubs that overspend and then end up dropping through the leagues like a stone with a squad full of players on high wages and CW won't let that happen to our club. Spending money does not equal success.
Last season we were more than comfortable and finished 9th, we've already improved the squad and hopefully will add another player to compete at the top of the pitch. Why after one loss do we need to start throwing huge contracts around?

I like Moose but it seems he's become a bit of a "sick note" he's only young and for his age he should be able to run about all day long, but he's fucked after say 50 minutes.

We have a GK and GK cover, cover for both wing backs, and kid from Chelsea can cover CM, RCM, CB and RCB. Burke gives a better option for our system than Robinson.
All of them improvements on our options last year, no?

We may have improved the squad but we certainly haven’t improved the starting 11. Particularly up front where Wilder himself said we needed to be better. Still time to put that right this window - I just hope we do otherwise it’s going to be a struggle to score the goals we need.

Better squad means more competition, this usually improves the 11, also when injury's and suspensions happen our 11 will be better than it was last season.
I agree, like everyone that more quality up front would be great, but scoring goals is a problem for 2/3 of the league, if finding a 15-20 goal a season striker was easy all clubs would have one. Teams who spend a lot more on players/wages score less than we did.

This news has Rob Hulse written all over it. Not the players fault that some fucker stamped on his toes but all we have left is a 35yr old plus a striker who doesn't score and McBurnie both of which are coming back from knocks and short of match practice. We desperately need to loan a striker and to buy a striker because lose the next two games and we will be in deep

Been watching loads of the extended highlights lately to see what’s going wrong, what we do well, how we could improve etc.
Folk have mentioned the loss of JOC and Flecky quite a lot... and with good reason!
But we’ve really missed the Mousse as well! When he’s on song he absolutely terrorises the opposition defence! City away and Man U at home are two great examples of what he brings to the team. Let’s hope we get him back firing sooner rather than later too! Reyt player!
