we’ve actually become the embarrassment that other premier league fans said we would be when we first were promoted with Wilder. This is across 3 seasons with 2 different managers , that's a relatively poor record
Thems the facts, but some fans still seem to believe we will stay up, based on what ? If we keep PH in charge we will break every record derby set comfortably, we will get fewer than 11 points , lose more than 29 games in a season and concede more than 89Love a new positive thread![]()
Relatively poor you say? Anyone achieved worse? This is across 3 seasons with 2 different managers , that's a relatively poor record
we’ve actually become the embarrassment that other premier league fans said we would be when we first were promoted with Wilder.
You seem to be suggesting the management team aren't trying and don't plan.We were actually competing well even in the Wilder relegation season.
The only embarrassing non performance was the 0-5 away at Leicester.
Our problem that season wasn’t general play, it was the struggle to score goals.
We only scored 20 goals in 39 matches.
We also competed well in home matches in the Warnock relegation season…it was the away matches where we were poor.
When knew that when we clicked we feared no team at Bramall Lane and always stood a chance.
It’s been a really difficult season, pre season wasn’t organised properly and we’ve had terrible injuries.
So Hecky is almost fighting a losing battle.
Let’s compare some chapters when up against much better teams fighting a losing battle with little hope.
Warnock response is down to his self delusion and enjoying the role of underdog.
He’s deluded because Warnock always believes his teams can win, no matter who the opposition is.
He has a game plan and makes sure players are positive and up for the battle, even if they were playing Real Madrid away.
Wilders response is passion and anger. He and Warnock are bad losers, that’s what helps make them winners.
Even when up against better opposition Wilder will still have a game plan and ensures his teams give their best.
Remember Wilder a few times saying, he can’t guarantee results but he can guarantee performances where his teams will always try their best.
Hecky response is to face realty and give up before a ball has been kicked.
Can understand this to a degree but a manager can‘t think like that, otherwise that “raise the white” flag mentality transfer over the players.
The season is still young, plenty of matches left, so any new manager needs to work under difficult conditions but still give it their best and go for it.
I was being a little tongue in cheekRelatively poor you say? Anyone achieved worse?
Perhaps it would be wise to revisit that view after 10 more games.Thems the facts, but some fans still seem to believe we will stay up, based on what ? If we keep PH in charge we will break every record derby set comfortably, we will get fewer than 11 points , lose more than 29 games in a season and concede more than 89
Wednesday have still won nearly double the amount of Premier League games we have.
101 to our 53.
And that's with twenty odd years of free reign to catch them up.
There 102nd will be some way off mind.
Oh no, that’s a disaster.Wednesday have still won nearly double the amount of Premier League games we have.

Hecky's Premier League Record
20/21
P10 W3 D0 L7 GF3 GA18 GD-15 Pts9
23/24
P10 W0 D1 L9 GF7 GA29 GD-22 Pts1
Overall
P20 W3 D1 L16 GF10 GA47 GD-37 Pts10
Overall averaging scoring 1 goal every other game and conceding at least 2 goals every match. Familiar story.
I'll have you a bet that Wednesday get to 102 before we do.
The payment will probably have to be conducted between our grandkids though.
Shame that two of the wins came after we were already relegated, so you can more or less disregard them as the players played with no pressure after it was over. With that overall PPG record we’re on track to beat Derby’s points tally - I’d take that right now![]()
Think you're forgetting the 6 consecutive years of trying to get out of L1 in this period. We've hardly been top dogs for the full 23 years since they dropped out. Plus if my memory is correct, they had several consecutive seasons in the top flight (1st Division) before it was rebranded. We've waisted a great opportunity to really nail it on them and get some boxes ticked.Wednesday have still won nearly double the amount of Premier League games we have.

The bar is 2 from 17 under Wilder. We finished 20th.Still can stay up. Not much happening in terms of points at the bottom.
The bar has to be 4 from 16 under Bassett and we finished 13th I think.
We’re all just waiting for the Christmas Party!
I meant the bar for staying up!The bar is 2 from 17 under Wilder. We finished 20th.
Think you're forgetting the 6 consecutive years of trying to get out of L1 in this period.
I’m sure that will also be the case again this season. Maybe with more games to to tooShame that two of the wins came after we were already relegated, so you can more or less disregard them as the players played with no pressure after it was over.

Very restricted language, I prefer an utter fucking disgraceThis is across 3 seasons with 2 different managers , that's a relatively poor record
