Cheers Roy.

The old `McNulty needs a run of games`line, where have we heard that before?

Does anybody know what is happening with Kieron Wallace? Hasn't started a game for Fleewtood

A serious difference of opinion about McNulty from the Bradford fans.....not unlike those at United who either think he's not worth a moment's thought or those who consider him a 'natural' scorer. Personally I think he flatters to deceive, I've no doubt he's a clinical finisher but these instances are few and far between, and by now you'd have thought the penny would have dropped about his achievements in Scotland and the way he needs to 'up' his game in England, even in Division 1. Unless he grasps the chance he's been given I doubt he'll amount to little more than an a gifted idiot who self-destructed.

“how sheff utd dont think brays isnt worth a place is amazing.”

Amazing use of double-negatives

Indeed! Written like this it reads as "Sheffield Utd think he is worth a place". Which is the opposite to what was intended I'm sure.

A bit like when someone says, "I don't think nothing about...". which means, "I do think something about..."

Why are they quoting McNulty's goal stats with no context? Many of them were scored in L2 and Scotland. I've fucking scored goals, just not for anyone decent, I'd guess most of us have. It doesn't mean we could do it in L1.

"He is hardly training by all accounts but still keeps churning out the performances for a manager that he respects so much.”

That's interesting. Maybe he's actually fucked. Not a positive sign if he's not training fully this long after the injury.

A blind man could have seen he was never fully fit since he came back in November last year. If he hasn't already he will probably move into CB and do a Paul McGrath until the end of his days now I reckon (with a touch less booze I would hope.)

Just to be clear, McNulty has hit the back of the net as many times as Paul Coutts this season. A good number felt signing Sharp was unnecessary before last season as we already had that natural goalscorer in McNulty – I doubt we'll see him play for us again. He wasn't able to establish himself under the last two managers, and the style we currently play, demanding hard work from whoever's up too, is now even more unsuited to him.

That's extremely worrying for him. The injury was a long time ago now - is it really possible that things will improve for him now?

I worried more about his mental health than his injury situation. Looks as though I was barking out of the wrong street.

Seems like its the same type of discussion I'm having with Revolution on another thread in Rumours. He is a goalscorer but doesn't work hard enough for the team. The only way I can describe it is that McNulty waits for something to happen whilst others make things happen.

Indeed. The only way a player like that can succeed is by scoring more than one goal in three appearances. Fewer than that and people lose patience.

As evidenced by this comment...

“poor. Took his goal well but apart from that did nothing”

So McNulty is an Edwards type of player. He needs to be approaching that goal rate then (so better than a goal in 2 games) or sort himself out and get working but as he's needed to 'sort himself out' for the last 2 years it isn't going to happen, what a waste. Burton fans are coming across as a bunch of yokels.

Two negatives don't make a positive – it's English, not maths. "If a boy says 'I haven't done no homework' the teacher is yet to be born who will reply 'Oh good, I'm glad you've done it' " – Professor Randolph Quirk

Has Professor Quirk never met a teacher? Plenty of sarky twats at my old school would have said that.
And a negative multiplied by a negative equals a positive.

“Brayford, supposedly was in no real form at Sheffield United, but took a pay cut to come here"
How does this guy figure he took a pay cut when he's on loan?

Bit like saying I'm the same weight as Anthony Joshua. So fucking what, he'd still turn me into a fine powder.

As I said earlier, a negative multiplied by a negative may equal a positive in maths, but language doesn't work logically like that – for example, "let's see if we can get this show on the road" means exactly the same in English as "let's see if we can't get this show on the road", and as the late James Brown would point out, "get on down" means exactly the same as "get on up".

I was only joking but there does appear to be conflicting views

But then, I don't know nowt, me.

Looks like these two players couldn't Split opinions more if they stuck themselves into glasses full of bananas and chocolate.
