Lee Martin admits he is willing to turn his back on Manchester United to help save his career.

Martin (below) has joined Sheffield United on-loan for the rest of the season after Sir Alex Ferguson told him to link-up with Bryan Robson at Bramall Lane. The midfielder, 20, faces Scunthorpe today, and said: "I've got 18 months of my United contract left. But I'm realistic and I've got to ask myself: 'Is it going to happen at Manchester United?'"

Intresting, but Phil Bardsley said something similar to this...

yes I all read this today and I heard the deal would be £2 million which sounds way over the odds- doubt Barny have that money to spend anyway

I would like to sign him on a permanent basis. But £2 million? Seems a tad too much.

£2million for a professors frink look-a-like????

No way!

I wouldnt say no to this one - Only player (apart from Sharp) who shows any energy and creativity

As long as there's an offside ruling in effect in the game of football, Sharp will never score ;)

As long as sharp has to pick the ball up in midfield or on the wing he will never score. We have the wingers now, we still need that second cente midfield player who will attack and/or pass into feet. Oh such a lonely song.

I thought quinny was doing abit of this and then robson left him out. great!
