We've just bossed another high spending entitled premier team at home and moved up to 5th place ( 5th fucking place ) and still people leave before the final whistle rather than applaud this fantastic group of players!!! Just remember when you get home 5 minutes earlier and are watching a repeat of pointless that it may never be this good again!!

Not that fussed about people leaving a smidge early but as I said the other week I am more annoyed at people who are not fucking showing up at all.

About a dozen empty seats in or around where we sit. Obviously those seats will be packed when City come to the lane though.

Games v teams like Villa will generally never sell out.

Yep, the 2 next to me on the gangway in the BLUT were booked but no one turned up.

I don't buy that to be honest. It is Premier League football and there are some fans in the South Stand that have bought a season tickets just to go to a handful of matches and it boils my piss to be honest. Considering the uproar from fans about how the club dealt with the season ticket sales and the fans who lost out on signing up for a season ticket.

Thought the noise levels were a little lower than usual today. If you want to leave early fair enough but while you're there please cheer the team on especially the first half. Make some racket, the players have said it really does help them.
Thank VAR has a lot to do with that, we went bonkers for a Nono second but then stopped and focused on ref touching his feckin ear.

How long did it take from the grass snake missing his pen to an announcement they were checking for encroachment?

Wonder if they leave the cinema before the end of the film too?

If you want to buy tickets for me and my step-son then please DM me and we can arrange something. I have been priced out of PL football for certain reasons, so whether it’s Aston Villa or Man City, I ain’t going. I’m missing out on a fantastic season but needs must and I’m not spending what I can’t afford.

Don't give a toss. Not my cup of tea, but it clearly happens at most teams nowadays. The people who want to leave on 85 minutes seemingly do it regardless of the result, it's their prerogative to pay whatever for a football match and miss 5-10 minutes of it.

I had to leave early today (first time I’ve done that this century) as I had to get a train back up north to get back in time to take the kids to see Santa. I left on 90 minutes and made it back with about a minute to spare. I’m gutted not to have clapped the players off, as they were fantastic in the second half but I wouldn’t have missed seeing the kids’ faces back here either.

One of life’s mysteries.

what could possibly warrant leaving early?

buses...not as if there won’t be another.
Train- as above
Tram- as above

Car...might be a bit less traffic, but FFS donate your WHOLE afternoon to that team. No plans of going out, nothing. Write the afternoon off to allow your appreciation of those lads.
It’s the least they deserve

I think there should be a system in place to allow season ticket holders to put their seat up for sale for a match they cant attend.

Think the point he's trying to make is that people that have purchased tickets are not turning up. Sure it wasn't a dig, or that's how I read it.

Had two or three empty seats either side of me

I kind of get it when it's 2-0 and looks like game over. Even then I feel like I pay good money to watch football and I'm not going to miss anything.

What really baffles me is people that were leaving when we were 3-2 down to Man U with a few minutes left. Surely the occasions that late late goal in are one of the best parts of football?

You could have come and seen me and saved me from taking that bloody programme home again

Didn't realise til I saw Raul's whatsapp that you'd brought it, was late pre-match due to dropping Ruby and calling for dinner, sorry!

Are you off to Brighton?

They pays their money and up to them....however while we are on the subject of what irks us..mine is people turning up 5 mins after KO, been t' pub, need a piss after 20 mins cos, been t' pub. leave 5 mins before HT cos, need a beer, come back 5 mins after HT cos, need a beer, then need and piss cos , been for a beer. Some of these must miss 15-20 mins and piss everyone off...stand up / sit darn / stand up / sit darn. So really someone leaving 5 mins early is not really the issue. As I said, you pays your money and up to you. Not something I would do but each to their own.
