Yeah. We arguably did anyway, but this very much forces the issue.

Hope that eye recovers fully, r8 shiner that.

Yes this is all we need to do this week, it is now crucial.

One. Clarke is back after the Sunderland game and we need to strengthen in other areas as well and in case you haven't noticed we don't have a bottomless pit of money.
and another striker gets injured or suspended?
Of course we could keep Hanson?

That's a shame - I really fancied him to start at the Sty to prove a point. As posted above, we have a squad of players who stick their necks on the line for the team. £10m will get you a pacy striker in this division, but 100% commitment like our players have cannot be bought. Speedy recovery, Caolan - you'll be back stronger.

Shit - sounds much worse than first anticipated.

Could tell he was in some real pain when he went down. Hope he makes a quick and full recovery and I'm sure he'll come back stronger.

Deffo increases the importance of another striker now though even including Sinclair.

Ched still struggling with injury.
Lavery out 2 months.
Hanson looking like leaving.

Leaves Sharp and Clarke....plus maybe Brooks and youth players.

We need two in minimum, even if one is for just three months.
Injury to Sharp, and we are in bother.

Wilder will have identified the players, up to the board to ensure the business gets done sharpish. Pressure on to some degree.

Hope he gets better soon.

It's even more frustrating because it looked to me that he flew into the challenge in anger - with himself more than owt because he'd just had a couple of bad touches.

We can't afford to let Hanson go now as I will be amazed if we sign 2 forwards in 3 days

I think he was just over-eager for it. He doesn't need to go steaming into it. At the same time, it's just one of those things that happen in sport. You've got to be willing to stick you're head in where it hurts and it always carries that risk. Could tell it was bad from the way he walked off, arms hanging loose and legs weak. Hoped it was just a concussion.

When is Clarke back? Is Hanson fit or in the departure lounge with Brayford? If Lavery is out for a while and Ched struggles on with a long term niggle, then yep we need two at least! If Billy gets hurt God help us!

Two more games.

Shit, wish him well! It was right near where we sit and we heard the sickening sound of the heads cracking together.

Real shame for Lavery.
Maybe Brooke's will be thrown into the deep end and given plenty of time playing as a deeper lying support striker.

Pressure behind your eye is no fucking joke. Came close to losing my sight in my left eye when I were a kid due to an abscess. They did a scan at about 11 and scheduled me for an op at 5, then at about 1 they rushed me into theatre because my eye would have gone if they'dve waited till the original time.

Still lost a good percentage of my vision in the eye and now have it roll to the side when I don't have my glasses on.

So from experience it doesn't sound promising :(

I don't know how many of the players read this forum or whether Caolan does but if you do lad I'm glad you're ok. Real shame for him as it sounded like he had a decent game Saturday. Must be frustrating for him.

Get well soon Caolan and come back stronger.

I had him down for a goal at the sty as well. He will just have to get one at the Bramall Lane Derby now :D

No chance of him wearing a Zorro mask and coming back sooner? This sounds a bit more serious than those injuries mind. He looked completely out of it when he came off.

Shame as he's had a couple of good appearances. Wish him a quick recovery.

Not having much luck with head injuries this season, Freeman got that massive saggy egg lump against Boro (I think) and Billy was bandaged up too the other week. O'Connell got twatted in training aswell.

We ought to get Petr Cech helmets for the whole team. Maybe we'll get a bulk purchase discount.

You could hear the impact on the South Stand, it was a right crack and was obviously bad. One of those things though in competitive sports, two honest players going for a ball. Wishing him a speedy recovery. Will he return as our 'masked' striker.
