Hi all, hope you’re all well and enjoying the new season!

Thought you may be interested in our brand new official Football League Clubs’ iPhone app, which is free to download, and offers a bespoke design dedicated entirely for Sheffield United Fans. You can access all of the latest news, fixtures, stats and player profiles from the Blades Squad. You can also update your Facebook and Twitter profiles automatically through the app - making it easier to share thoughts, views and comments with your friends.

In addition to the free content, you can also have the option to purchase a ground-breaking premium service for just £4.99 for the entire season. This allows you to watch video match highlights 24 hours after the game and incorporates Google Mapping functionality, so you can find your way to any match stadium in the country.

It also contains a “Score Predictor” - a tool that gives fans a chance to predict scores during the match. You can then compare their predictions with fellow fans and opposition fans too. The score predictor will be continuously updated throughout the 90 minutes with all your fellow fans predictions, all in real time.

Anyone else downloaded this App?

Its reasonably good, certainly better than the England one, but its slow to react. On Sat the score was showing 0-0 but when I scrolled through the text commentary we'd scored. I only knew that we'd scored as I got the official SUFC text with the goal.

Goals and "incidents" are not easy to find in the text commentary.

As for the "ground breaking" premium service - Ground breaking my arse! I was getting video highlights on my phone when we were in the premier league so why its taken so long for the football league to pick up on this i've no idea.

Not a bad app and the google mapping is probably ok, but I'm sure i'll never need it so its just a nice to have

Has anyone used the new iPhone app from the the Football League. I downloaded it this weekend and they've got video and live commentary for all the games for $7.99 (about five quid) for the season. Anyone subscribed? It sounds like a bladesworld sub limited to iphone.

Are you questioning if I get commission from the app? I don't even get commission on the games that I make. I was merely wondering if anyone has paid for this and want to find out if it's worth buying.

If you can't get the highlights on the BBC website (which I'm assuming you can't as you're not in the UK?), then its probably worth it for you. I've got the app but I'm not paying for the highlights as they're on the BBC site!

No idea unfortunately; I don't have anything to do with FIFA any more. The team should be ok as I've spoken with the database guy and told him who plays in which positions. Let's hope he paid attention.

I get it in Madeira OK. Maybe the fact that I'm still in Europe, and in any case can't you use a proxy?

I think its slowly getting better, but its still not great. I still use the SMS service as it alerts me to "latest confirmed news" but if i had to do this with the app I'd have to be checking every few minutes so I didn't miss out on the "latest". The app is obviously superior on the additional content, but so far only the commentary has proved to be particularly useful.

Bladesworld with all its faults generally works regardless of where you are in the World, limited only by the quality of your internet connection.

You can get text commentary on numerous sites its live audio commentary it needs for when you are away from the computer.

It's already in boxes at the stores so way too late. I wouldn't have thought they'd change it now; mainly look at it for next season to make sure it's correct.

Is the back of the home shirt right? They've had the front of it spot on for the last 3 years, its the back thats been wrong.

That 3rd kit looks absolutely horrendous.
