Me and my mate were on our way back to Sheffield from Bradford when this bloke called Brian came on the radio about 5.30 and asked Andy Giddings if he thought David Weir was a good manager?

After Giddings put up a reasonable defence of DW2, this bloke went into overdrive by labelling Weir a failure and a poor manager, citing his own experiences of management in non league football to confirm his opinion.

Giddings eventually cut him off but can I ask, was this the infamous Brian the Blade that everyone bangs on about?

yeah thats Brian. Dunno why they give him the air time. I haven't listened to P&G for a long time, but we were driving back from Bradford too and it was on. It was actually embarrassing to listen to Brian. He seemed to be one of those blokes who looks for an argument.

There is a very easy solution I have adopted. Turn it off and don't listen, something large numbers of blades fans have done.

Ah, Radio Pig. I'm sure they ring Brian up every week. Mind you, I rarely have it on. The odd away match commentary, and on the odd occasion it goes on as I drive to and from a match, but that's about it. What with the visionaries like Brian and his fellow fucktards and the Barnsley fans who begin their lecture with "Ah dint gu, but...." there's not much in it's favour, other than at least it's not Radio 1.

I've not listened to radio pig since tub o lard Foster was quite rude to Dave Basset over the Ched affair but I swallowed my humble flavoured pukka pie last night and listened to PorG for news of this investment. Now I'm like most Blades and have a not holding my breath attitude when it comes to investment in the club. But I must admit I nearly got a little fatty on listening to the interpretation of what's going to be forthcoming very soon.

Did anyone note a bit of irk in Giddings voice when delivering the good news?
