One of the best attacking fullback displays at the Lane from both the left and right side since the days of Len Badger and Bernard Shaw in my opinion. They both showed speed, control, aggression, enthusiasm, passing ability and tremendous athleticism, every thing you could wish for in a quality player.

I’m devastated for Naysmith to be missing out on the final especially as he was one of my players of the season, but I really think that the two Kyles combination (along with the introduction of Howard) has taken our football to another level especially as an attacking force that wasn’t possible before.

UTB :)

Great to have that pace at the back again, there were a few times when I thought one of their forwards was going to get the ball and have a clear run on goal only to see one of the Kyles (usually Walker I think) come sprinting across at a rate of knots to get a foot in at the last minute having been nowhere in sight a moment earlier!

He likes to get forward and get the crosses in too, great performance from the pair of them.

The deffence certainly looks as though it could handle premiership football; perhaps the addition of another centre half to add competition / back-up (either one of Presons would do) would be the icing on the cake.

Massive congratulations must go to the acadamy coaching staff; especially given the amount of criticism that has been thrown in their direction in recent times.

We played some great football last night. proud to watch. cant wait till the final. cotts was outstanding too some pace. Is he on loan??? be nice to have him in premiership when we get there... UTB

No he's not on loan anymore. We signed him this season so he's OURS!!!!

No more "Dad's Army" tag either!

Of the team that started yesterday, only Kenny, Morgan, Howard and Monty were over 25.

Compare that to the days of Robson's old guard.

Naughton is a class act and Walker looks everybit as good, fantastic assist from him last night.

For the first time in years we've got 2 real quality full backs who can tackle, get forward with pace, full of confidence. Great to watch, we've got to keep them both, they are the future.

I do feel for Naysmith though, he has been steady all season, given a couple of bad goals away early on, but pretty dependable in general.
