In the event of a rollover, should it be free entry for those who took part in the 1st competition?

Yes folks, amongst all the transfer shenanigans, Bee baiting, Cadette love-ins, we're only 2 and a bit weeks away from kick-off and time to think about LMS.

Has anyone got any suggestions, new ideas, tweaks you would like to see or suggest for this season ?

There is one the committee have already sanctioned which you will have spotted. As well as the pot, you will now be playing for the coveted 'Boo Radley', the LMS version of the oscar, named after boo radley who sadly passed away earlier this year. A great supporter of LMS and fittingly, the most successful 'predictor'.

Any ideas welcome, I'll leave it open until the weekend then we've got 2 weeks to set it up before that lower league football kicks off on Friday 3rd August ;)

Foxy can you pin please, cheers.

Can I suggest that in the event of a roll over, the participants get free entry to the next comp while new entrants have to pay entry fee. Alternatively the participants pay a tenner and new entrants pay twenty.

I think we discussed this a while ago and whilst I can see where you're coming from, people can jump in 2nd time around having not taken part in the original I seem to remember the general concensus was that they were happy for it to remain like the lottery in that you end up winning more money overall if it remains £10 for all.

I might put together a poll if we get a few suggestions so bear with :)

metty and everyone, vote away :)

In terms of the fee for rollovers,i'm happy to pay £10 and carry on regardless (bit like a lotto rollover)... however, if you feel the need to reduce the pot I see it as like when you put somebody all in at poker and then the betting carries on, you have a split pot.
This would be quite a bit of planning but 'could' work...

e.g. If 10 ppl play and it rolls over the 1st pot is worth £100. If 5 new ppl join for the rollover in addition to the original ten, they can only play for the second pot (£150). However, if the game is won by a member of the first round, they win both pots!

Not sure what would then happen to the first pot though, does it rollover again but now includes the 15 ppl that played round 2?
