This season that is.

If we fail to go up this time no one is going to believe a word they say again, surely they must know that, Smart dugouts and time lapse videos of grass growing aren't going to cut it next time around, they saved themselves a bonfire of season ticket sales with the removal of Clough, I for one was not going to buy a season ticket if Negative Nige was still here, but another season of buying past it and mediocre replacements for better players will finish a lot of us off for the foreseeable future.

Promotion or sell up your Highness.

Who does your Highness sell to.

If it was not for McCabe and then your Highness we would have gone bust a long time ago . We need a reality check.
Adkins is rebuilding the squad and at the same time trying to acheive promotion. We have played one game , sold a player . Fuck me.

I agree if we don't go up this season, I for one will be calling for a change at boardroom level.

There's obviously not much we can do to make him sell up but if the fans want McCabe out it can only dissuade him from keeping, whilst persuading any potential buyers out there to show an interest.

Or a lot of us won't be back...

But a lot of us still will be back as we are supporters of the club, regardless of the division we find ourselves in or what we are doing.

I say good riddance to part time supporters, at least the atmosphere will be a little more forgiving and allow a team to build up its confidence. See you when when we do eventually get higher up in the leagues.

And for calling for a change in board personnel...... Last time I looked, they weren't the ones playing on the pitch.

and the two usually go so harmoniously in hand.

I've had Approaching 40 years of reality checks, we are the 12 best supported club of all time in English Football, it's about time we had someone in charge at board level who wants to repay that support.

I had my doubts about this current board quite a while ago, but the piss poor summer recruitment aligned with what has already happened has lead me to believe that they have already had enough chances with me and I think they need to go.

The biggest regret I have is renewing my season ticket for the umpteenth season this season, and I have not seen game 1 from it yet and already regretting paying for it

In what way does convincing the current owner that he has no option but to sell generally encourage a new, better owner they wish to buy?
That tends to be what happens with a purchase does it not..

Interest in the sale item will undoubtedly increase if and when the owner of the goods displays 'no option but to sell', as this can obviously put the ball in the buyers court enabling an offer of a lower sum..

I understand the frustration believe me, but there is no one out there who is going to come in and do any better, not when buying out the Prince means still having to pay the McCabe's to use the ground which they would whack up to unsustainable levels immediately they lost any influence on football matters.

We still have a club to support albeit it may be a lower league club for the next decade or so, small consolation in know.

12th best supported club is irrelevant . You cannot finance a club just through gate receipts . Agree with the 40 to 50 years reality check . We do not have , and never will have , individuals or a major coinsortium queing up to purchase SUFC . We are not a fashionable " in vogue " club and never will be .

McCabe is trying his hardest ( after a boat load of mistakes ) , to right the wrongs . The bloke could have walked away years ago and said fuck it , i have had enough , but he hasnt , and brought Prince in , to help with the burden of running the club , and keeping us afloat . If you saw Murphy at Gillingham , you would have part exchanged him for the new washing machines on order , for the club laundry.

Lets us just give the club a chance to pull this around.

Thread title got me on the lookout for the most extreme reaction to the sale: I've seen a Clough was a better manager than Adkins on fb.

Same here, after the transfer actvity this summer, with the lack of ins and outs, now Murphy I regret it. I regret getting excited for the new season, as I thought the board had learnt. The moment David Edgar arrived from skint Birmingham as our CB saviour I knew it wouldn't be long before a sale arrived. Unfortunately, the guy with the only real value

I agree with almost all of that apart from the "not fashionable" part of the argument.. so Wigan, Stoke, Southampton, Watford, Bournemouth are?
