For the first time this season our good start does not look quite so good. Second half we were just lumping long balls in to their box aimlessly & we looked like a Championship team. Newcastle did what they did very well & credit to them, but we looked devoid of ideas after about 40 minutes.
As to the finishing, if we don't start to convert the chances we get then we could slip down that league with more performances like that if teams just sit in. Newcastle have concede loads of goals away from home 7 we failed to score.
What Basham was doing not jumping for their first I do not know, but it was a massive mistake. As for the second a shambles really from our view, but a good move from theirs, but as to VAR!!
For the first time this season I feel concerned. We faced 5 'more' straightforward fixtures in December, & in the first of them we have shown the lack of quality that we have managed to overcome in previous games.
It also makes us look back on the 3 previous games when we should have won at least 2 of them. The lack of quality in the final third could really catch us out. BS looked out of his depth I am sorry to say, & McBurnie has to score with the header.
