We can blame the ref, Wilders tactics, the players all we want, but it's another game where we've looked out on our feet after 70 mins and the opposition have run us ragged for the last 20 mins.

Even when we make subs they come on and after 10 mins look like they've been playing for 120 mins.

That's been my biggest bug bear for a while, and looks like as we get to the business end of the season, it's going to cost us.

The Blades were cooked at kick off. Building a team in July/August and a squad in January is always going to leave a team compromised for the whole season. The injuries (sadly inevitable) aren't helping. Overall we are negotiating this "baked in" problem extremely well imo. I don't remember losing many points late on.

Seeing players going down with cramp after 70 minutes whilst the temperature is in single digits is mystifying.
Absobloodylutely

Plus It's when other teams are coming on strong in the last 20 mins, whilst we're cramping, looking shattered and getting dragged out of position. Moore, Brewster and Hamer came on and looked knackered after 5 minutes.

We've dodged bullets for a while but Leeds and now Bristol City have shown that the last 20 mins are the time to really get after us!

Look at the last pre season game squad and you have your answer as to why we aren't where previous Wilder sides were fitness wise.
