how is he possibly going to get a chance at the lane? given that naughton is now, for me, the first name on the team sheet!

He will have to bide his time & do even better than naughton in training or when he plays :)

Not a bad predicament to have though :)

I'd suggest that it depends on how much Beattie's sale is going to affect how the team plays and therefore, who plays in which positions. Naughton has showed that he is more than adept at going forwards and is possibly wasted in the RB position. It was interesting to see him alongside Monty in the centre last night and perhaps as he grows physically, he might be more suited to a midfield role?

On the one hand, it's good for all the academy players that Naughton has come through and impressed the way he has as it opens the door for them.

Just a bit unlucky for Walker that he occupies the same position :)

i think he's played CB for the reserves, but he played RB for Northampton? and RB last night so maybe another Jags??

I think Naughton would do well on the right wing. He has the pace and skill for it. Then, bring Halford into the middle (the two could maybe swap round a bit throughout the game), leaving Walker to play at right back.
