Knowing how to win

How many today thought at 1-1 that we would fade and MK would nick it? Last season probably 70% this season probably less than 5% (IMO). Difference right now we just know someone is going to produce the goods, that might be Moore with a top draw save, EEL with a bullet header or a last ditch tackle, Sharp with something from nothing, Duffy with a moment of quality.................... the list goes on. Everyone is putting in a shift and a half, nobody is being carried and I can't remember the last time I thought that anyone has had a shocker, last season that was a pretty common occurrence.

Still loads of football to be played and anything can happen, but this is a side that can battle, play with flair, score goals, defend with purpose and most importantly as a group - know how to win.

Probably the best opposition I've seen here all season in fairness. They were very well organised and would've caused us serious problems had we not dealt with their pressure and forward movement throughout.

This would've been a nailed-on home defeat last season, which just goes to show.

No, I was weirdly optimistic at 1-1. They'd had a lot of good play but since the first few minutes it was the only time they'd cut us open and had a decent effort on goal. I always felt we were the more capable of scoring and that we have players who could provide.
