I like the new kit. I would buy one....if.....I could buy one without the sponsors logo on it.
Am I alone in thinking that if they want me to walk around with a commercial logo, they should pay me or give the shorts away?
Thats why I never buy the shirt.
Make replicas with an option not to have the sponsors logo on i say. They may sell more.

I'm with you on that, Wednesday sold their home shirt last summer sponsor less then provided the printing of the logos if the fan wanted it at a later date.

United printed this seasons logos on, the shirts leave the Macron factory sponsorless.

Theres a guy on ebay in CHINA that sells sufc shirts with no sponsors on when he gets them off the back of a rickshaw.

I never used to mind the Laver one on the old kits though, maybe because it was a local company that had good ties with the club.

You would imagine though that its a big appeal for the sponsour thinking that their logo will be displayed on all the fans while their on holiday etc rather than just in the ground on the players, if they didnt put the logo on the shirts for public theyd probably pay alot less for the sponsourship

I also have an objection to being an unpaid advertising billboard. When I did the Royal Parks Half Marathon a few years back I duly defaced the sponsors logo on my number sheet.

Mind you, I don't extend that to my two United shirts - however, Wards (on the 97 shirt) no longer exist and the Malta Tourist Board (09 shirt) are, I assume, publicly owned, so I will make an exception for them :-)

Eventually everything on a Macron shirt fall off anyway so it will be sponsorless in the end.

The Macron logos are peeling off my 2009 shirt, whereas my 1997 Le Coq shirt has only this last year started to fray around the edges...

Yawn why doesnt someone photoshop the new kit without the sponsors logo on it then perhaps some traditionalists can crack one off over it. Just a thought.

Do they still go by the name blades then and have half our crest still? I've got a nice Chengdu top but its the most unlucky ever, think 10 losses in 10 when I've worn it to a game. It never comes out on match days anymore

I quite like the new kit although it should never have been used for a do-or-die home game in the fashion it was.

Anyways, do we have any hints or clues as to next years away shirt yet?

Surely the home kit is too white for a white awayer - maybe a return to yellow?

I have to agree with mr danson on the laver sponsor........best ever, followed closely behind by Simmons

Do you buy any clothing with logos on? Do you buy trainers made by Nike, or Adidas? As far as I can recollect, they charge you for these items of clothing and footwear, don't they? What about your car? Has it got a manufacturer's badge on it?

Why should football shirts be any different? They come as standard with a sponsor's logo, apart from those clubs who have alcohol or gambling sponsors and sell a sponsor free shirt. I can see your point, a bit, but to ask them to pay you to wear the shirt is the perk that comes only with being a professional footballer, not a fan. They don't force you to buy one, after all. And as to whether they may sell more, consider the clubs that have sponsor free shirts, like Celtic. They sell far more of the sponsored ones. Fans want a shirt that looks like the player's shirt, not one that doesn't.

I do believe that those clubs that have alcohol or gambling sites as sponsors only sell them without the sponsors printed on the kids shirts, the adult ones do still have the sponsor printed on them.

That is correct, and the really evil clubs make extra money from having a different sponsor on the kiddie kit.

Brogues from Church's with no logo only for me.
it could be argued that church's brogues are so distinctive that they don't need a logo anyway.. the whole thing is a logo.. interesting topic logos.. check out Naomi Kleins book 'no logo'

Shirts of Hurt, all three were worn worn in unsuccessful Play Off finals.

All three made by Le Coq Sportif.
