Would much rather see a 4-2-3-1 with Hamer behind Campbell. A better team with a stronger midfield three would pass straight through us in a 4-4-2. There's a reason it's a mostly dead formation in the modern game.
I agree to an extent and think 3-5-2 would work best with hamer behind Moore and Campbell also think it would make us more solid at back and allow Seriki not to get exposed defensively but don’t think we will go that wayWould much rather see a 4-2-3-1 with Hamer behind Campbell. Totally agree, just said similar on another thread.Would much rather see a 4-2-3-1 with Hamer behind Campbell. A better team with a stronger midfield three would pass straight through us in a 4-4-2. There's a reason it's a mostly dead formation in the modern game.
I remember Deano and Agana not giving a shit about occupying anyone, they just did there stuff without the nuanced modern day tactics.Does what he needs to do in a 2 up top, keep the CB's busy even if he doesn't create/score in the game, him keeping those defenders occupied which gives other players space to score.
Take the 2nd goal, Moore occupies their CB who stops him from getting to the ball across the box, and Brooks is completely unmarked to score.
Good ball over the top by O'Hare for Peck for that 2nd goal as well, perfectly weighted.
Good post BBD ….That’s my first instinct as well tbh, especially against the likes of Sunderland.
HOWEVER, tonight got me wondering, could we possible see a situation we have a sort of bucket or box shaped midfield that squeezes in as a unit when the opposition midfield are on the ball?
Tonight we had
————-Hamza. Souza————
Brewster.——————O’Hare
Which come the play offs could easily be
———- Peck. Souza————-
O’Hare.———————Hamer.
However, I still think the 4-2-3-1 with BBD on the right and COH in the 10 would enable us to control the game better and have much more fluidity to it.
Two players for whom I’m willing to take the rough with the smooth are Seriki and BBD.
BBDs non stop movement on that Wembley pitch (should we get there of course) would be a huge asset.
Apart from, BBD never has a good game playing on the right. That’s my first instinct as well tbh, especially against the likes of Sunderland.

Makes a massive difference to this team and is key to our play off success imo. Definitely 2 up front from now on whatever.
If we want the ball more in the final third then he is key, hold it up, pass it off and we're off!!!!!Great to get another 90 minutes under his belt. After praising him last game I kept an eye on him this I’ve and his touch seemed a bit off, he should have scored the third at the end but a good game overall with some nice lay offs and link up play.
Seemed more involved and won most of his battles…stats people probably be soon to confirm at some point.

Hes so much better on the left, but Wilder plays Hamer there, who is so much better in the middle.....
I'd play Brooks on the right, and BBD on the left.
I also think O'Hare should start every game, hes like a wasp, annoying and pulling defenders out of position, never stops eather.
If only we had Leeds pace on the break, we always seem so slow and laboured when breaking, dont you think? If we want the ball more in the final third then he is key, hold it up, pass it off and we're off!!!!!
Would like to see our win ratio with him starting? Stattos?Afraid I am not a Moore fan. I think his first touch is often poor, resulting in us losing possession, he doesn't shield tha ball well and is not particularly fast or athletic. Not sure of his stats but dont think his goals scored or assists are great. Just my opinion.

To be fair though, his “assist” was just a terrible week shot deflected into BBD’s path!He couldn't trap a bag of cement when he came on against Cardiff but then set up the second goal.
Similar to when Souttar was at the back, having a large, dominant presence at one end of the pitch or the other seems to put the frighteners up people.
He's not really PL standard but can still do a job and offers a different option. When he's good, he's really good, just needs to come out a bit more.
